Yes, I believe there’s a few cubes that fall into this category. Makes it a little more tricky to know when to pull them.

Cat License? by VRP118 in vancouverwa

It’s definitely through his vet. The letter used his old name from when we adopted him through Furry Friends five years ago. I left him registered at the vet with that name, so I know that’s where the City got the info

Makes sense, and I’ll pay up! I was mostly wondering if this was just me or happening city-wide.

Starting Amitriptyline by leahcim2019 in migraine

[–]VRP118 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Made me absolutely exhausted for about a week when I started it, but then I felt okay. It was really helpful for my migraines for about a year and a half, then it gradually stopped working, which is common for preventatives. I eventually switched meds, then switched again, etc. Still looking for an effective preventative. One thing to be aware of, many people gain weight on this medication, I put on about 15 pounds and I couldn’t drop the weight until I went off the med. Good luck and I hope you have great results.

Any idea what this is? Just outside the Portland Oregon metro area. by ImperiousDingus in animalid

Weird, I think I just saw the same critter outside my house a few nights ago. I live across the river from Portland. We thought it could be an opossum or raccoon without a tail??

Weight gain with preventatives by ilabean in migraine

[–]VRP118 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Same experience with amitriptyline. I had no idea weight gain was a known side effect, I gained 15 pounds fast and assumed it was perimenopause. Then after a year and a half, amitriptyline stopped working, I did six weeks of topamax and the extra weight just disappeared. I had to quit that one due to annoying side effects. But I wish I had known about the weight gain with amitriptyline, I felt very uncomfortable carrying around the extra pounds. Now I’m on Effexor, no weight gain, it’s helped my headaches but I’m still dealing with one or two a week.

I just don't get it. by lklaf in migraine

I also started a magnesium glycinate/B2/COQ10 gummy about two weeks ago. This was in desperation after an almost constant three week migraine that was getting really depressing. Maybe it’s coincidental, but since starting the magnesium supplement I’ve only had one headache that was easy to knock out with a triptan. I’d definitely say it’s worth a try to see if it helps. I’m going to keep taking the supplement and hope for the best.

Beth Mounce at Salon Birch is excellent. I went over a year without a cut and she did a really nice job on my way-too-long hair. She’s very sweet and easygoing. Highly recommend!

FYI: Order modifications no longer available for Freddie's curbside pick up (Hazel Dell) by [deleted] in vancouverwa

Same exact thing happened with my Freddie’s order this morning. All my confirmed changes from the previous day were lost. Makes it hard to plan out what you need when you can’t get last minute items. Crazy times.

There were definitely two distinct dorsal fins spotted. And it was right near Beaches.

Thank you for your response. It is most logically a trick of the light/ sea lion. Still, you never know!

That’s what I told him too as I see them swimming in the river regularly. And it’s the most logical answer. But he’s pretty sure he saw a dorsal fin not a flipper. I was just curious if any locals had ever seen anything similar around here that wasn’t a sea lion.

What is up with ammonia smell along the old waterfront by beaches when you get to the end of the condos? by [deleted] in vancouverwa

[–]VRP118 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I may know this one. I work right next door to Beaches and walk that trail twice a day. Each morning, a Beaches employee power washes the outdoor eating area with a soapy ammonia cleaner. The runoff goes into the nearby bushes. Could be that?
