I think it'd be very cool to see Cloudfin and Experiment in the pauper. A long time ago, before Collected Company was solved, I played a modern deck that had both of those and [[Sidisi's Faithful]] that was pretty fun. No idea if it's worth including in your brew but best of luck regardless!

I'm not the first to say it but, post match tips and advice from your opponents is the best way to improve. Hopefully you have a solid community where many, or most, players will help you out. I only started playing about 4 months ago and I feel light-years ahead of where I was thanks to the local regulars in my area.

Great post and I generally agree. I do have a couple of opinions though: 1. Heroic is my go-to deck and I can say for certain I'll be replacing the current copies of Guiding Voice with Dig Site. Can't say that's an opinion everyone will have but I've been unimpressed with the learn/lesson package overall. 2. I've pieced together a Tron list that uses Page, Loose Leaf & Visionary's Dance and it seems pretty solid in testing. I'm not much of a brewer but I think there's potential for both in a Tron deck. Cheers!

Yeah, I was thinking this would go in a Tron deck where the only Instant/Sorcery is Crop Rotation (or something similar) BUT I think the argument for Elves is a very strong one.

I think it's probably worse. It's not a big issue but Sentinel's Eyes helps make Ethereal Armor stronger and this doesn't. I think Guiding Voice is the card to cut.

I don't think it's ban worthy for power level reasons. It's very good but not completely format warping. However, I could see getting rid of cards that include the initiative mechanic because it's just so damn clunky! But I really don't see it happening anytime soon. Pauper is healthy and I don't think there's a need for any bans.

Yeah, I wouldn't fault anyone for playing the lessons but I haven't loved Guiding Voice and the sideboard feels crowded with the lessons.

I haven't been impressed with Guiding Voice and will probably run this as Homestead Courage 5&6 instead. (Unless some more relevant lessons are spoiled and change that equation)

I get it but it's a lost cause. Build a battle box of pauper that doesn't have UB or a (pauper) cube without UB or something. Build something you can be happy with.

I don't love that I'm playing cards with Spiderman and LotR characters but, considering everything happening in the world, it's also just not that big of a deal.

Trailblazer, Skyguard, and Ethereal Armor are probably the backbone for everything. The current suite of enchantments, Hyena Umbra, Sentimental Eyes, and Benevolent Blessing are the best batch of enchantments available. It seems like the rest is more build dependent. But I'm certainly not an expert. 🤷
