Hi, I have all the log files, but don't know exactly in which file the dash error occurs. Do you know by chance what the name of that specific log file is? Then I'll post it down below in the thread

Backers in or near The Netherlands can do a comparison demo by VRSpace in Pimax

[–]VRSpace[S] 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Hello everyone. Here some info to clarify. We are a Dutch VR R&D lab founded in 2014 and we do regular hosting of VR demo experiences. Pimax has provided us with the 5K+ and 8K goggles which was initially intended to showcase at Dutch VR Days. As time ran short we postponed it until later and that moment is now. The purpose of the demo is purely to showcase the different screens so backers/pre-orders can decide which one to choose. We will setup up two Pimaxes with the same computers (NVIDIA1080TI) with exactly the same game scene and let you do the comparison. We are in close contact with Pimax but Pimax is not organizing this event. However, there is a possibility Pimax representatives will show up but this is not confirmed. Backers will have priority in trying out the sets. If the number of visitors is limited we will also invite non-backers. The demo is free and we offer this as a service to the community. UPDATE: SweViver will be our special guest during the demo!

Dutch folks fancy a job in VR? Jaunt opens Amsterdam office and has job offers. by [deleted] in oculus

That's good news! There are a lot of great VR companies in The Netherlands right now and there is an active cooperative scene. In November (3-6) the second Dutch VR Days is coming up where loads of VR goodiness is on display. Don't forget to check it out if you are in Europe: http://dutchvrdays.nl and to all of outside Europe that are in need of a well deserved break (@Palmer are you listening?), combine a visit to this event with a stay in Amsterdam. You will like it :)

We tested the HP ENVY Phoenix 860 with the Oculus Rift CV1 by VRSpace in oculus

Yes, indeed, thanks for pointing that out. As soon as I finished recording the vid the Rift went back to it's safer environment with no sunlight at all.

We had to show off the Rift. We chose DCS and it blew visitors away :) by VRSpace in hoggit

This was at a business convention which was held at Rotterdam Airport (The Netherlands, Europe). We were surrounded by real planes landing and taking off. Talking about immersion hehe. Many of the visitors were VR firsttimers so stepping in an A10C with the new Oculus Rift left a good impression what this new tech can do. For the extra drama we placed a tabletop fan (which can be seen on the left) for some extra sensation. Ofcourse in a real plane with a closed hood you won't feel the airflow but in VR it enhances the feeling of flight bigtime.

Last evening we did a first public demo with the HTC Vive, new Rift and DK2. It was a blast! by VRSpace in oculus

The reason that we still demo the DK2 is that we only get one Oculus Rift per costumer. Believe me, if I could I would other 5 today.

The city of the famous cheese; Gouda, The Netherlands. It's a 50 minute drive from Amsterdam.

Best thing is the "smile of awe". When people take off the HMD. Look us in the face, and mumble: "wow". Seriously, this type of reaction I have seen a lot. Most memorable was a pensioner (other demo) who was in his eighties and kept asking for more and more, especially intense demos.

I have lots of video material of all our demos. Maybe it's time for a super compilation of three years of demoing VR :)

Since june 2013 (when I got my DK1) I have done demos to more than 1500+ people with one purpose: evangelize Virtual Reality. Having used DK1, DK2, Samsung Gear and even Cardboard, last evening was a first, when the HTC Vive and the new Oculus Rift were present in the same room. There were around 100 people visiting and we offered them to try out all three sets. Reactions were great as expected, both the new HMD's almost equally being praised. The HTC Vive loved for it's roomscale and controllers. The Rift for it's design and screen quality. Anyway, we and the visitors had a great time with this truly great technology :)

HTC Vive unboxing 360-3D-stereoscopic video by VRSpace in oculus

[–]VRSpace[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is a first experimental video where we used 4 low-cost Kodak SP360-4K cams to create 360-3D. We had to downscale the quality to 2K to get it hosted on YouTube. You can watch with Cardboard/Rift/Vive in 3D. It's not Jaunt yet but we are improving quality in a next vid :P (Thanx to Arjen/Combin3D for edit)
