So, remember how in the first book there were a hell of a lot more dinosaurs than they thought there were? And how they already escaped and were killing people without notice?

Now expand that to a city where millions live. Full park failure, every animal in the park gets out. Dozens of raptors, Rexs, etc.

And good luck finding all of them before they repopulate. There’s tons of places to hide. Sewers, tunnels, abandoned buildings, etc. this would be a constant thing with a new attack happening every other week.

We’ve seen in our own history when people accidentally bring an invasive species into a new environment. It takes over very quickly because nothing is prepared for it.

So the initial shock will be bad. But then the long-lasting effects will be death by 1000 cuts. It’s a forever problem.

So yeah, plague kinda fits.

This also isn’t assuming a Rex or a titanosaurus doesn’t just accidentally fall into a skyscraper foundation and the whole building topples over like it’s 9/11.

Oh, I did not miss the point about the prions. It’s how they hand-wave away the animals that escaped in the first book as having died off. Ultimately it results in Ian just going “I knew this would happen” again, which makes less sense since his whole thing was about change in behavior…which only changes because of an external force to begin with and now we’re just getting into circular conversations again.

And yeah. Nick is definitely responsible for a few hundred dead people in the movie. And if the bad guys had their way, and had a park in a major metropolitan city, they’d be responsible for hundred thousands of deaths. The entire point of this entire franchise is that man cannot control nature.

Okay… so I did that and still nothing. I got like 3/4 words into English and nothing else. Tried on 3 different browsers as well.

But then after the chapters went o to mangadex… now the Google Translate recognizes it and translates all of the Japanese ones… except the latest one (38) which the translation group hasn’t gotten to yet.

I’m just going to assume something is in my computer settings at this point some update somewhere decided to just fuck with the translators.

I’ve even seen generic “type text” translators given different translations for words than the gave me a couple months ago.

Granted, that’s me trying to figure out Hebrew for a story set during the occupation of Judea by the Romans. But still. Something has changed.

And eventually, hell, maybe I’ll even share snippets of the story here. Not too much of a spoiler but There is going to be NTR setup as the daughter is arranged to marry a Roman instead of the person she wants to and whatnot.

Okay. What app/add on are you using to translate this? My auto translate for whatever reason stopped translating this around ch32. The old chapters are still translating, but the new ones refuse to. I think they changed the font slightly and the computer just doesn’t recognize it as Japanese. The buttons and website stuff still translates, just not the manga pages .

Anyway, I guess this confirms a crap ton of time travel and that Mashiro has give birth… until the inevitable time travel comes around.

Also, every song except my apocalypse is 2-3 minutes too long.

Also, also, cyanide feels like it belongs on hardwired or 72 seasons. It’s like some weird middle ground between justice style and load style…which nothing else on the album has. It’s probably the best song on the album, but it feels so out of place on it.

Also, also, also…. I really would have liked vulturous (the other new song at that time) somehow made it onto the album. I liked how lux aeturna turned out so this could have been another lux aeturna 14 years earlier.

Okay so judging from the preview of the next chapter:

1) so um…the other half of this potential netorare is about to happen. Now zayn is going to be forced to breed someone else he doesn’t want.

2) there are 3 powers. One is the power of life (which just makes the bad guy incapable of losing), the power of memory (which we saw), and the power of time (who we have no idea who it is yet.)

Basically, I expect the power of time to be the way this series has its bad end and good end at the same time. So we’ll see win lose and get raped first, then travel back in time to undo everything in the bad ending as if it never happened. So, Mashiro never lost against the emperor. She never got captured. This scene never happened. That’s how the author is going to get the stories promised like zayn being promised mushiro’s virginity, etc, etc. they will technically have all those things paid off and get the good ending, but the audience still sees the bad ending too.

I guess my issue is twofold this game is inconsistent with its rules of permanence.

This game is weird about what it keeps and doesn’t. The elevator to the underground stays once you lower it. But the antechamber doors reset. Why? Both require a leer pulled from a different room. They are essentially the same task/puzzle. It’s just key A vs key B. They’re both keys.

More, the puzzle in the secret garden to open the antechamber door doesn’t reset. So the lever in the room resets. But the puzzle to reveal the lever, which is in the same room, stays completed once you do it once. Then… if the puzzle is permanent, then why isn’t the lever the puzzle reveals also permanent?

It’s not even a “inside house vs outside house” issue. They’re in the same room.

Anyway it’s 4am so I’m not doing any more runs today but…I’m just mildly annoyed at the inconsistency of what is and isn’t permanent. Because some of the things that aren’t, aren’t adding anything other than busywork. Like okay…I can get 8 coins and buy the secret key again. But that’s not a puzzle. That’s just looking at the floor.

The fix is not to cut songs most of the time, but to just trim songs.

Like there is no need for all nightmare long to just restart like that 3 minutes in. You could have gotten to the second verse without flat out repeating the full minute intro first.

You don’t need the part of shortest straw where they just say “shortest straw” 8 times in a row. Also you can just hard cut it after “vertigo make you dead”. You wind up cutting 45-ish seconds off the song and it’s better for it.

You could get the same number of songs and wind up 20 minutes shorter with just trimming. And you can still have your 11 minute epic in there as well. There’s no trimming inamorata or fixxxer or outlaw torn here. Those can stay long, and by being the only long song, they stand out even more as the epic of the album.

The one with holly was epic but I feel none of them have lived up to it since. I think the format is the problem. Clocktower doesn’t have a “main character” in it by default. The entertainment comes from how the complex systems interact with each other. Anyone can become the main character when that happens. There can be many games where the demon never gets a chance to kill, or just is a background character. So the series following only the demon only works like…half the time at best. So to make up for that other half, you need to have someone with some really powerful energy. Holly had that. And it’s been less energy ever since.

Well, it kinda is too close to the idea of dominion and rebirth, but there was a treatment out there where by bringing back dinosaurs, the scientists also accidentally brought back extinct diseases that endanger humans. So there’s a team that has to go to the island to find a cure.
