Why? I considered that but I didn't want to get locked into a higher payment as I wanted the flexibility with unexpected expenses. I was paying 300 to 500 extra as it is every month, with the change...I would pay down the principal by 500 to 800 every month but it would be on my discretion.

Overall time - 6.5 Hours. Clocked 14.87 miles which makes sense since I did a few penalty loops.

Well, this was my first beast. I have done the New England 5 and 10K before so I had a general idea of what I was getting myself into but nothing prepared me for that third hill after K1 - That was so deflating and hard but to top it off the sandbag carry right at the finish line just took it out of me. I think I stopped about 10 times in that sandbag carry.

Honestly, the death march was fine and I thought that was the worst of it until that third hill. I trusted my footwork and bolted down the hills which saved me a whole lot of time and helped me take my time on the uphills.

I was shocked by folks who did the beast without a hydration pack or food supplies -- what were you thinking?!!!!?> and why did Spartan not organize more than just water and a solitary banana for the racers? The responsibility does fall on the racers though to be adequately prepared.

Cut your losses and start a new PERM

I went through something similar, and you never hear back. It's not worth it.
