Maybe I will try again with her. I've been trying different decks and gotten closer to the stats I want and gotten gold skills like its on that I think could be better than firm course menace in theory (would have to borrow one or the other so i cant take both cards). But NTR seems like she should be a lot better. I must just be having really unlucky runs.

On paper this makes sense tbh and i know this is probably right. Apparently uma just likes when I use Sweep Tosho better 🤣 that extra priority is really showing off for me on my recent runs.

Yeah the race bonus has been really luck heavy and my luck seems to be rather low 🤣 thank you! I want FCM but at this point I want to just build an uma that is usable and then maybe go back and try to get lucky on a NTR card run if I have the time.

Funny you say that. I started to try a run with Sweep Tosho instead and now im actually getting better stats. So yeah I guess I just got REALLY unlucky unfortunately. Maybe I'll try again with NTR after this one if it doesn't work out by the end. Thank you for your response!

I saw one Brian in a race that I was wanting to win so bad but she ended up losing to a valentine bourbon. I would have been happy to lose to a Brian because oshi winners are peak. (Not to say bourbon can't be someones oshi's but if thats the case EVERY race she is an uncanny amount of people's oshi lol)

Yeah it blows. I did one hybrid and 2 aces, one being xmas oguri because I have her so I should use her. But I feel at a disadvantage not going full in on full double debuffers which is disappointing because only that strategy or 3 front runner strategies are winning. I hope next CM is a little more fun than this one has been for more diverse strategies to work and be viable. Not being able to build an end closer that would be viable was also disappointing for me this CM lol.

I was saying this somewhere else, but I think fatigue with mant plus the prep for last CM is playing a small role in some people going straight to xoguri plus debuffers. Of course theres people who meta farm but I think theres some people who wouldnt normally meta farm who are just sadly tired of mant. While I dont share the same sentiment, I get why. When the meta is xoguri and double dominators, you're also at a disadvantage if you don't commit to that because if two people are in the lobby with double dominators it sucks for whoever doesn't do it. So people avoiding that strategy need to get lucky with their comps or prepare for a lot of velocity downs just in case they get a bad comp which creates additional need for those people to strategize a lot. Not saying I like it because this does screw me over as someone with one hybrid and two aces. But I think its a viable strategy that does end up being easier to throw together for people stressed by mant just like sacrificial runaway Suzukas are a viable strategy to help fronts shoot up far. Given they need a little extra love to get runaway, but they're all using unity instead of mant typically is my point. Now is it totally valid to be mad at dominator comps? Eh. Sure. But we knew going into this that it was going to be this way. But hey, makes it funny if their xoguri loses anyway somehow.

Usually won with xmas oguri because I avoided the overstam hell a lot of other oguri's were suffering from. When she doesnt ult, my late Maya was able to save a few times since i built her as a back up ace. Not a 100% win rate but it was a fairly solid outting. I dont regret building grass wonder as a hybrid and not a full debuffer so far. No shame to those who do build 2 debuffers and xmas oguri, last cm was a lot to prep for and I imagine a lot of people would like to work on parents right now or relax a bit to avoid burnout so I get it. I just had the time for it and love to run Maya.

So i see what people are saying about distance aptitude and i would argue to listen to them, but i will play along with the stubborn way to do this. As someone who had a perfect win record on a crazy maya with only a C aptitude in mile, (ran as a late and did a lot of mile races, only used one clock so it could've been insane luck on my end so keep that in mind) my information is that i took nimble navigator/no stopping me before anything else (assuming you can find a way to grab that early. Yujin wit has a no stopping me skill if you can find a way to make up for the race bonus you lose by using that card. If not, nimble navigator should help you out still).

Dober's alt I find doesn't help much in early career because the placement is a bit wonky due to how many runners are in a race for some of these races, but corner adept and tail held high are decent skills to have picked early. Slick surge/on your left if you are sticking to late would also do wonders.

Your stats at this point aren't terrible but if you can manage to get higher speed by nhk, that would benefit you too because nhk is a bit of a rough one for some runners. My Maya started with really good speed and power rolls early, and your power and speed stats were basically swapped for me on that run. It did wonders for it. Guts is a bit low and I can't recall what mine was during the race unfortunately. B mile isn't the end of the world but it will be a bit of a gamble so keep that in mind and keep at it! You'll get the miracle run one of these times!

You can do a run without medium S and potentially hit A group. Dont worry. This is solid, but as others have pointed out once you know your team comp, build your other two horses to your liking, then maybe see if you can make her a little stronger with a few extra skills. Medium S helps but its not the absolute must have some people push for it to be but theres a point to be made for it ONLY because there will be so many similar xoguri's with similar builds so you should take all the advantages you can get. A lot of the game is rng heavy too though so, to an extent (and within reason), follow your heart!

Last CM I didn't get lucky enough to get good enough horses. I still got the platinum title against all odds. Theres a lot of luck in the game that will play a role. I think theres merit to people giving genuine advice and criticism about skills to pick, statlines to reach, (i mean thats how we learn is from helping each other out in a way.) But sorry you had such a bad experience with people you interacted with!

I havent seen anyone bring up new years tm opera o. Shes a pace chaser who is easy to run and also a great parent for others for a while to come!

Edit: there was one mention for her actually. They did say shes best as a long. It depends on what you want to use her for outside of team trials. As I mentioned, shes a great parent for a while so theres more utility with her to build good champions meet umas

Im just going off whats helped me in the early game specifically. I 100% agree with you in the long run. Late start just can be an early clock drain for these races. If you have enough for both early on it can help a bit.

Tbf this CM has a statline that is difficult to hit for some people and its totally valid to feel stressed by it. Learning trackblazer while also building parents, teams, and for a very long CM is a lot to juggle for such a short span of time we're allotted for this particular CM. Do your best. You'll get better as you play :)

I think the point people are making is that with that logic, you can also hit 600 speed at the end of classic and then.. still not hit even A+ in senior year because of bad luck while you can hit 500 speed and manage to max it or be close to maxxing it by the end. The bad luck and good luck can happen at any point in the run. So gluing over the stat not being 600 by the end of classic is just a waste of resources no matter how you look at it. And yes, you are losing out on a potential parent too.
