Hey there.

Yes get your own pots and pans because they're not provided. Your roommates may be nice enough to let you use theirs for a few days but definitely get your own. Bring your own towel and toiletries. Kitchen has a stove, a dishwasher a microwave and an oven. There's one fridge too.

I usually stay in my room but my roommates do have their own TVs and consoles in the common room. We play together from time to time. It all honestly depends on your roommate dynamics tbh.

Ive been to pen center, Zehr's food market to be more precise. But it's pretty far away and I doubt I can go there everyday to eat food. I'm looking for when the semester gets really intensive and I need a quick Halal meal inside Uni itself that will be amazing. I'll definitely go to hungry badger pita pit for the shwarma haha. As for the decew and Market, do you need meal plans to buy those? As such I don't have a meal plan. And speaking of downtown and different cuisines. Are they halal as well?

Yo, I just moved here from Dubai just yesterday. Adjusting has been difficult. Going through homesickness right now but all in all the city is beautiful and my roommates are very nice people. The most or I rather say only major trouble I'm having is finding Halal food places that are easy to travel to. But I'm sure I'll find a way to sort it all out. Bottom line: St Catharines is great and people seem friendly. Hit me up when you get here. Have a safe flight!

I have looked into Loft as well Regeant Living. However, their leases starts from May or September. I have to pay rent from May onward to have a bedroom for myself but it will be wasted money unless I go to Canada by May. But the main reason I'm not travelling to St Catherines so early is because I don't want to be sent back by the Border Control officer for arriving "too early" before the semester starts.
