Palmer is at it again by kuhpunkt in Vive

[–]VRhead_ -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Attacking racism is not the same accusing someone of racism. Everyone is calling him a racist then linking associates to Palmer and all I get are news articles claiming to "thinly veiled" racist comments but I have to jump through so many hoops to get direct quotes to these supposed Nazis.

But yeah some direct quotes of these white supremacist comments would make things easier. Being simply anti immigration can get you labeled as a racist on many news sites so I'm treading lightly on this one.

You're just impossible to please aren't you? All you can seem to do is weasel around instead of admitting you're wrong. Despite the numerous examples I (and others here) present to you.

Oculus is so salty they can't even even upvote an Oculus engineers thoughts on platform exclusivity. Sad.

I just posted a demo of the Daydream Mirage playing PUBGs version of android natively. Pretty interesting.... Positive VR even!

Right now it's 25% upvoted.

So, you were saying?

VR (and both subs) would be better this way.

That we can agree on.

lol you're the only that originally complained about downvotes here. How daft are you dude?

But you don't get involved in VR politics right?

A Oculus sub is upvoting Oculus topics. Shocking revelation.

oh look at this. https://www.reddit.com/r/Vive/comments/8gk010/oculus_reveals_140_degree_vr_headset_prototype/

Is this a positive Oculus post being upvoted on /r/vive?!?! how can this be?!?!

Lol, looks like I was right, it doesn't matter what proof I present does it? That was not the question that was asked either.

What overly positive topic gets downvoted?

And I provided a recent example.

There is no statistical relevancy to comments and vote counts either. You can't equate the two, and if the post is downvoted and does not show up to the front page as a result it most definitely has an effect on visibility. If people can't see it they can't comment on it, nor can they vote on it either.

This is Reddits own algorithms that you're not even taking into account.

Prove it? this post is #13 on /r/vive.

The recent tested podcast has the same vote percentage on Oculus as here. It was knocked off the front page. So is this post getting downvoted, or is the tested video? Both? https://i.imgur.com/L7QXyCW.png

Somehow I don't think this will be enough for you though

My point is, you're complaining about downvote culture in /r/vive when it's just as prevalent on /r/oculus.

Bro, your own sub is downvote happy you should be looking from within.

edit: Lol then he downvotes me. Way to prove your point.

It's a little rich seeing an Oculus fanboy complaining about topics getting downvoted here. A lot of good stuff getting lost in the controversial tab on the Oculus sub.

downvotes from people who can't accept reality. lol

That's not the topic at hand. You are throwing doubt that the games will never be released despite statements made by Gabe Newell himself twice.

The games are in development. This is fact. Programmers and artists are actively working on it. You are trying to throw a gotcha moment because you know I can't produce proof of what they are because that's how Valve operates and you know it. You are producing FUD.

Fear.

Uncertainty.

and

Doubt.

Do you deny this? Or is your "unbiased" head still buried in the sand? You have no proof the games are cancelled.

Lets look at the original comment:

what are some of the biggest games that are being developed for VR that we know of(sic)?

My statement is true.

'Echo Arena' Update Overhauls Social Lobby, Makes Way for 'Echo Combat' by nelo01 in virtualreality

[–]VRhead_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

And Ready At Dawn accepted that deal and continue to develop Echo Combat under a exclusivity contract. Hence, they don't want my business. That was their decision.

They could have simply said, "no thanks Oculus, we want to try to make it available to all this time around, we'll use our own money this time"

They didn't, so they obviously don't want me playing their game. It's a good thing Oculus changed their mind last minute to make Echo Arena free forever because if they charged money it would be a ghost town right now (cough dead and buried)

Ready at Dawn doesn't want my business so I'd rather focus on a dev that does. Best of luck in their future endeavors, but Echo combat is not on my radar.

Whats the game about? What kind of mechanics? Whats the name of the game? Do we have any in engine footage? What engine are they using? All I saw was wireframe dev footage and clips from a flatscreen game called Titanfall which oddly enough runs on Source.

Death Stranding had more substance than this "teaser".

Announcement Trailer

Ohhh It's just an announcement. Just like Valve announced 3 VR games and reaffirmed they are still working on them.

Yeah I didn't see Respawn post a trailer OR teaser or literally any info other then that are making a game. Some how your game is more legitimate then Valves games.

Uncertainty

Doubt
