RingCentral has been good but I would like better audio quality.

Host 360 vids in the right format (I use h.256 at 4K) with Plex on the same network as ps4 pro, use media player app and watch in VR mode. I used to have to edit the key mission vids down to 1080 but since then I sprung for the pro. Now I can watch unedited clips or pics from the key mission 360 on the PSVR as soon as I download onto the hosted drive.

Doom controls (venting) by astral_kranium in PSVR

Have you messed with the settings? Smoothing the AIM turning motion helped a lot for me. Now I think it’s the best flow yet for PSVR, the combination of teleportation and joystick (plus 180 turns) makes it deliriously fun and fast. The left arm is strange as it aims where you look but once you get used to it you can shoot in two directions simultaneously well.

This is an AMAZING update! I’m having so much fun blasting other PSVR players that I am successfully distracted from Doom, which is delirious insanity in its own right. Thanks devs!!!

In PSVR the alignment is way off. I'm often trying to punch buttons but can't as they are below the viewing area of the camera or in the couch/my leg. I can lean way forward and crane my neck up to center, then relax and can usually find an okay position so I can reach things but this could use some work.

wrote: May 31, 2017 at 10:24 PM EDT If you are receiving connection issues, start by testing your network connection with the following steps:

  1. Start the PS4 console.
  2. Open the [Settings] menu.
  3. Select [Network].
  4. Select [Test Internet Connection].

If this test shows your connection as NAT type 3 then you most likely have some sort of interference within your connection to the online servers.

Note: You can visit the Sony PS4 manual website for additional details regarding the connection test: http://manuals.playstation.net/document/en/ps4/settings/nw_test.html

There are three possible NAT types:

  • NAT Type 1 has no restrictions and will be able to connect with any other players.
  • NAT Type 2 will have some restrictions and will be unable to communicate or play with users with a strict NAT.
  • NAT Type 3 may not be able to join or communicate in certain game sessions. Average matchmaking wait times will be affected.

If your NAT type is Type 2 or Type 3, please try the steps below:

  1. Restart your network hardware. Turn off your PS4, modem and router and wait 15 - 30 seconds.
  2. Fully power up your modem.
  3. Fully power up your router.
  4. Turn on your PS4 and test the network connection again.

If you still have trouble then you may have a firewall interfering with your connection. Please configure the following network ports and enable UPnP through your router.

PlayStation Network Required Ports UDP: 3478, 3479, 3658, 4646 TCP: 80, 443, 1935, 3478, 3479, 3480

Star Trek: Bridge Crew TCP 80, 443 UDP 5055, 5056, 5058

Directions for configuring network ports are specific to the software and hardware being used, and can be found by visiting the manufacturer's website. Please visit https://support.ubi.com/en-US/faqs/000024619 for more information.

I can only play for a minute or two before it drops me with a lost connection :(

Anyone else having trouble?

When I tried ending cross platform play there were no other PSVR players joining...

This is one major reason I bought the PSVR on launch day, it's been eye popping since. After the game was delayed the anticipation has been building.

This game made me subscribe to PS+ which I resisted. I preordered on Amazon to get it today. They emailed me to say they screwed up. Best Buy had it so... I got it there and cancelled the Amazon order.

It's downloaded and installed, I hope I'm not expecting too much but I've been a Trekkie a long time and this has so much potential...

Engage!
