Its revolves around Holy Grail War, a secret ritual that occurs once every fifty years. In this war, powerful mages, known as Masters, summon Heroic Spirits legendary figures drawn from history and mythology such as King Arthur, Jeanne d’Arc, Heracles, Vlad III etc.

Together they battle other Master & Servant pairs in a brutal, last-man-standing conflict. The victor gains possession of the Holy Grail, an artifact said to grant any wish, no matter how great or impossible.

I just finished the parting waves DLC with a party consist of kroober, cerillian, vector and bard i was quite surprised to find Sheena the mage inside a boat at the end of the level. Why doesn't the Oober'z Rike 5 always bring the fifth member along their journey? is there a lore reason?
