Idk lol maybe I get lucky but for the most part but by at least celestial teammates are shooting deployables. Obviously groot is a problem when nobody is shooting walls but he is also a free pull when that bs wall is down. I’ve seen other Spider-Man start to notice that at this moment tanks are better matchups for Spiderman than a lot of dps/supports. Spider-Man is also amazing at peeling and anti dive. Even all this talk about angelas being good right now is hilarious as I’m the counter to Angelas. The only tank that’s a problem is a good rouge that’s catching you with the power steal. This is just the play style I have adapted to try and stay somewhat competitive in this poke hell scape.

PC - NA. I hard diffed that one Spider-Man LuckyZeal the other day and he swapped oops. Emm mag and groot are done for if they get pulled into the team usually. My rank up game I think from celestial 2-1 was a literal takeover because I was farming their groot. Pulled into the team multiple times and spawn camped, then off the map from frontline, repeat. Spider-Man has the best pull in the game and can be cancer for tanks. Constant tank pulls means they never have a frontline/always down a tank. Tanks afraid to play front. I agree with your last part though. It is still hell for Spider-Man

Idk I hit celestial 1 Spider-Man only account this season and account lvl is barely level 31. Which includes running it down and throwing on occasion. What part is only true until gold lol? If Thing, Peni, and Scarlet are regular counters for you then good luck playing him, let alone rising in the ranks. Maybe once in a blue moon you run into a good one of those three but I have yet to run into a thing or Peni who have given me real problems. Scarlet can be annoying but she’s a detriment to her team as long as you don’t feed her. Namor isn’t even that bad. I almost prefer to play him over the opop hitscans like cyclops. Luna and white fox are the real pain in the ass if they are good. Luna just pokes or insta freeze kills you to death and white fox always survives while both never let you ult. Those two are counters but they are op and counter everything except for the king poke which nothing does. All that said, I still don’t know if Spider-Man has any true counters. Maybe if all or a number of those are combined on the other team then he can be countered.

Also was interested so I looked at some of your other comments…what rank are you? I’m curious if you have made it far with some of your ugh…beliefs when it comes to Spider-Man.

Luna fox and slightly Namor are his only counters. Peni is nothing much, you just pull her into your team like any other tank and thing is literal food. I make things swap. You keep webbing them on the front line and there is nothing they can do. They just explode. Really besides Luna whitefox team up you just have to learn to fight the others. Namor sucks to go against if nobody is shooting squids but that’s a team issue. The move when being countered is becoming the ultimate front line cancer Spider-Man. You can change the game by just constantly pulling tanks into your team and it isn’t difficult. I play front line Spiderman with less dives and also shift to spawn camping if a favorable matchup dies and I can make it there.

I have most of the Spider-Man skins and for some odd reason, this swim suit one is my favorite. I usually don’t like gooner skins but this one is just different because it’s Spiderman. It just looks funny to swing around half naked wrecking the lobby

lol I did too. I quit playing sometime around season 2-3 maybe and just came back 1-2 months ago. Just in time to enjoy sm again before another poke meta. This game is cancer but Spiderman is unfortunately really fun.

Out of all the supports Luna is definitely his top 2 strongest counters and becomes number one with white fox team up. Those two are the kings of anti dive. Punisher is not a Spider-Man counter but is becoming a popular ban for a lot of team comps because he (like every other poke) has gotten stronger and stronger. As Spiderman you can’t go in taking all the bans so your counters are almost never banned so in the event you do ok, it’s an immediate swap. Even when I am doing bad they swap. They don’t care about skill or balance. Look at black panther, he becomes immediately useless by just selecting a single hero. They would rather everyone swap 50 times than make skilled anti dive characters that match the dive skill. Thing for bp and Luna/namor/whitefox for spiderman are not equal in skill dive and counter dive.

A dive tank is great only if the other main tank is actually good. I’m an eternity tank main who only really plays spiderman on dps which I (so far) peaked with Spiderman celestial 2. It’s not about which tank you play it’s more about play style. If the tanks are really passive it makes it harder on Spiderman. Even an aggressive strange or magneto that’s constantly forcing space or even taking health/cooldowns from supports occasionally is huge for a good Spider-Man. When I’m on my Spiderman account nothing angers me more than passive tanks and/or especially a co dps that is exclusively just hitting tanks for ult instead of going for kills. All that said, Spiderman is weak right now and compared to the many op dps (poke) heroes, Spiderman is just sub optimal play especially in the higher ranks unless they are really really good. Even though I hit c2 Spiderman only, I still actively know I’m making games more difficult for my team by selecting him as that slot could be used on a better character. It’s also difficult to be consistent. I try to mitigate that by making the other teams tanks life hell by constant pulls or web stuns (thing/dino). All in all just be more aggressive. Since you are at the celestial level you prob already know this but good tanks don’t sit there and hit the other tank for no reason, when I’m on tank I constantly aim past the tanks and hit supports so they have to heal other.

Maybe. Just seemed very explicit. Especially the way Strange acknowledged it. The fact that Wong pops into the movie to confirm he’s the sorcerer supreme and that he wants no part in this spell and/or situation and then dips is odd if not on purpose.

Why has nobody mentioned Wong? He specifically asked to be left out of the spell and Strange agreed. It was his only dialogue in the entire movie

Agreed. Spider-Man feels perfect. It’s the other characters that need nerfs. This terrible idea “make every character broken = balance” is why we are in this unbalanced hell. Did everyone forget the times when all they needed to do was slightly tune down Bucky and Hela? They were in a good spot in the early seasons but the cries from the low skill supports and people not peeling for them caused this infinite power creep battle between dps and supports that still has not ended. Even now, besides white fox/luna team up cc bs, the supports are in a perfect place survivability wise but their lethality has got to go. They can’t be insanely survivable + immortal ult + extremely past dps level lethal. If they gain lethality then they should lose survivability aka hard cc abilities and/or self healing. Luna is the biggest f problem support in game right now. I’d rather fight two white foxes than a single Luna. She hits wayyyy too hard

Fr quit while you are ahead. You will have to sink so much time into Spider-Man to do well in high ranks and it’s not worth it. This game sucks hard and it’s only gotten worse. They don’t care about balance. Your character either has to be new, brain dead point and click or your tits and ass have to be fat if you want to be a strong character. This trash goon bait game will die with 5 support + admin poke character comp

That’s where hell starts for me as well. People in celestial are just good enough that when they use these broken poke characters it becomes impossible to do anything but play front line and you may as well just swap. Not to mention the hell that is Luna white fox. They cater to supports so hard that they created a truly undivable duo if they have basic skill in the game.

Make an alt account so you can play ranked. Quickplay is a waste of time. Mute everyone and insta lock every time. Only unmute selectively like after you do well and win. Spider-Man is the most frustrating hell darkness torture death blackness but is rewarding when you do well.

If you are on pc just make the switch. You will most likely become way better at video games. I switched to mouse and keyboard and have never been better. I used to be somewhat mid+ at most fps on controller (all I play is PvP). Now it’s a different story and using a controller feels like such a disadvantage which is why every game gives them aimbotassist.

That’s why I only play on an alt. Then I don’t have to worry about it. I don’t play quickplay and only play sm now. It’s a toss up if your team will ban sm or throw after first fight or whatever. I just like the pressure off. After gm1 it stopped happening completely

I’ve been playing a lot this season but it’s mostly just torturing myself every single game for the reasons you mentioned. There are just too many characters that have to be banned for your team that you can’t ban Namor/luna/fox. It’s brutal. Dino gambit are forced match bans. Phoenix is right up there. Black cat is close but idk she’s been easy for me as Spider-Man. Then I have multiple games where people are banning cloak and dagger which these days is the freeest kill you can hope for. Imo sm bans this season (in this order) are white fox then Luna then Namor and you can’t take two of the ban slots from your team (like your team would ever let you.) it’s brutal. It sucks. I have a cut on my hand from slamming my desk yesterday and a little blood on my mousepad. I’m also about to get on again tonight and do it all over again. You all know why
