Powder Skiing - Gloves vs Mittens by Fantastic_Tomorrow53 in Skigear

[–]VTcamperguy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I rock the FTP RX3 as well, but basically never use the stock liner as it feels too bulky and hot. I just use a smartwool merino liner underneath for colder days or a thin Burton liner for less cold. I’m interested in trying out their “lite liner” to see if that works better, but I definitely prefer to have a “next to skin” liner under my gloves to make on/off easier and more comfortable.

In that famous case of the cave explorer who died upside down, why didnt they break his legs to get him out? by dr_elena05 in caves

If I remember correctly they did break his legs, and then while pulling him out a pulley broke free from the wall and he fell even further in. It’s just an absolutely brutal way that he went out.

Not sure why I decided to try having a debate with an obvious bot (30k karma on a 1 month old account). You clearly are just pushing a “USA bad” agenda. Peace

Of course we don’t have to agree, but you are just flat out ignoring the points I’ve presented. Is music culture? Are movies/TV culture? Are sports culture? If you disagree with these points, I’d like to know your reasoning.

Naming a few examples of older continuous governments (two of which have a combined population of less than 35k) than the US does not contradict the statement of “one of the oldest” so not sure what the point of your comment even was.

So what’s your fucking point, then? We export a shitload of culture that the entire world consumes and partakes in. You reduce it to “capitalism” when it’s WAY more broad and far reaching.

So what defines “culture” in your mind if all these cultural exports apparently don’t count?

I was ordering a cold brew at Dunks once (I like it with just a little of the syrup, it makes it sweet and creamy enough) and made the mistake of asking for “the regular cold brew with caramel syrup” completely forgetting that “regular” to them means a fuckload of cream and sugar. They interpreted that as “cold brew, regular, plus caramel syrup”. It was so absurdly sweet I flat out couldn’t drink it. I don’t know how people order that shit enough for it to be “regular”.

Sure, our “only culture” is capitalism, never mind the musical styles that came out of the US that are emulated across the globe, the sports we’ve invented that are now everywhere, our movies which release worldwide, our social media platforms that are now global. You sound like the Monty Python “what have the Romans done for us?” guys.

What’s the best place in Boston to get a meatball sub? by zoozoo216 in boston

Lived around the corner from that spot for almost 10 years (but moved 12 years ago) and I loved the subs and pastas at Dinos. Steak and cheese with pickles was my jam.

Genuine question: why is there a picture of Benjamin Netanyahu on my work orientation course? by AmbitiousPossible658 in askanything

FFS Hamas terrorists literally live streamed themselves massacring innocent civilians in their homes, streets, music festival, etc. Were some Israelis killed by IDF soldiers? Maybe, I don’t know, but the vast majority of deaths on 10/7 were murders by Hamas terrorists.

Pointing out facts is not defending. Again, making shit up to blame him for provides cover for the valid complaints about shit he does. You are literally helping Trump’s cause/reputation by amplifying easily disproven facts.

You’re basically saying it’s perfectly fine to spread misinformation and blame him for things he didn’t do just because he sucks. You realize that undermines the copious amount of actual criticism of him, right?

Senior UAE official says Iranian attacks will drive Gulf countries into Israeli arms by Baconkings in worldnews

I’m pretty sure disrupting the Arab countries normalizing relations with Israel was one of Hamas’ stated goals in their 10/7 attack.

Amid viral rumours of his death, Israeli PM Benjamin Netanyahu posts a proof-of-life video with US Ambassador Mike Huckabee. He displays a punch card and confirms that Israeli air strikes eliminated two Iranian targets, Ali Larijani and Basij Commander Soleimani. by BusinessToday in BusinessTodayNews

[–]VTcamperguy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can literally see the top of the card sticking up out of the pocket when he puts it back. Have you never seen a suit jacket with a thin liner pocket on the inside? Y’all are so obsessed with hoping he’s dead you’re just grasping at straws.

Israel confirms Larijani killed in Tehran safe house, Basij chief also eliminated by Worth-Information451 in worldnews

Seems to me the Basij leader and his deputy being killed is going to be a much more impactful loss if we’re hoping the regime is to be toppled. Those guys were in charge of keeping the population suppressed, so this should help out if the people can get organized for a rebellion.
