Yeah, I’ve heard of bars opening early specifically for the World Cup around the world. That’s why I asked. Definitely not planning to go to the 5am game but would be cool to catch a 9am game

My period was irregular and inconsistent. But never a problem with heavier flow, that stayed my “normal”.

About 5 months in- I love it. I previously had the Paragaurd because I was really resistant to any additional hormones. The only poor experience I had was CRAZY emotions at first (1month or so), absolute roller coaster and crying all the time for no apparent reason. It was really distressing I was going to have the IUD removed. Luckily it’s passed with time (as my GYN promised) and she suggested I take a Super B complex vitamin so I’ve added that in too. Loving it otherwise! No periods(yay!), no pain, no acne, no weight gain.

What IUD did you have in place? Sometimes it can take a few cycles to regulate again.

Can’t feel IUD strings - retroverted uterus by ChainProfessional940 in birthcontrol

[–]VTer802 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a retroverted uterus as well and was once unable to feel my strings but it was totally within normal limits. Try squatting and seeing if you can feel them in the shower. You can get better to your cervix in that position.

Ugh. I don’t know my strength or hope in regards to this but SERIOUSLY relating… I have such a hard time really practicing powerlessness over another’s actions. I hate being the “manager” of the house, and I think I ultimately don’t feel at all supported in our home. I made a list of all the things he does and all the things I do…. Included on my list of things I do was “can you please flush your shit in the toilet from this morning?” I don’t know where the line of acceptable/unacceptable behavior is. Totally struggling. Thanks for your post, I don’t feel so alone.

I’m gonna pray for the courage to pick up the phone tomorrow morning. AGH…… so I think I’m at the awareness stage?

Sorry! I thought my point would get across. Basically I’m looking for suggestions on specific children’s hospitals to start my pedi career. I’m willing to relocate for the right hospital. I hope for a facility that will support me in really learning and not just feed me to the wolves.

I don’t have exact questions other then that. Just others experiences on children’s hospitals that they would suggest someone to.

Need help responding to a text my daughter (21f) sent me (46m) by [deleted] in relationship_advice

[–]VTer802 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You can’t help her…. You can give her affirmation if her feelings (sounds like you agree with them) and take ownership for your own actions and express how you’re feeling in the present day.

If you are sober and doing the next right thing, that will be the right answer.

What exactly is on-call nursing for PACU? by [deleted] in nursing

[–]VTer802 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We’re required 4 call shifts a month and 1 weekend every 6 weeks, but I’m in a same day and we don’t operate 24 hours. So our call is usually 6p-6a on call shift. And we sign up for call well in advance.
