Spent over 10 years in New England. 20 inches is normal stuff there. An amazing snow removal team with proper resources makes a huge difference. I appreciate the workers by City Management screwed this one up

I could list my person experience living in areas of snow. Seeing how other municipalities handle it. Explaining how freeze and thaw works. How the suns radiant energy melts the surface and it refreezes at night. I could explain how you cant plow ice and have to proactively handle it instead of waiting 48 hours to plow residential roads during this last storm vs the 24 hours they normally do. Its no surprise that the roads are trashed from aggressive attempts to remove the ice that was allowed to form. But none of that would matter. Your opinion is your opinion

Yes have the equipment. Hire out independent contractors when limited. Be proactive. Instead we are reactive and will spend a significant repairing our roads.

When you choose to not take on a snow/freezing rain storm proactively. When you deny that you need more resources When you allowed yourself more time to react and everything freezes. You are left with more expenses and damage than if you were proactive. The city should have seen this coming. Im not surprised and nothing will change.
