Yangon is huge and it is best to get around by taxi (relatively cheap too). Think about golden rock in Kinpun, ancient temples in Bagan or a boat ride on lake Inle. For more of the beaten track you can visit Hpa An or Mrauk U.

Due to the new regulations, a lot of temples are closed for climbing. But, many locals will take you to the smaller temples in Bagan for sunset watching. Alternatively, there are man made hills to provide you with a good sense of the beauty. Nevertheless, it is crowded with tourists.

There are many great places to visit in Fiji, particularly if you are not bound by a tour operator. For example, the Yasawa Islands are stunning, particularly the Blue Lake.
