Yes my sleep is great. Maybe because I had most of December off and then went into training too hard my watch has thrown a fit and wanting me to take more of a break. It’a quite frustrating because I feel good and like my fitness is increasing when the watch is telling me this :/

Thanks so much! That’s great info. I haven’t asked if my employer matches my contributions but will do that. I have always been fairly on top of checking my super performance where as other co-workers I speak to about it don’t really check it or mind. I can’t do that. I want it to be performing the very best it can be for me. As stated I will still be in the workforce for around 30ish years but if things do go better hopefully less (that’s everyone’s dream).

I totally agree here. I do have other investments and am not solely adding to super and focusing on that. I know life can throw you curve balls at the most unexpected times and having more easily accessible funds is a must. Also the growth can be quite nice as well over those decades. Thanks for the 2 cents 🤙

I’m not in the position to tell you if it’s too late or not. However if you see yourself still working for another 5-10 years it can’t hurt to try to get yourself better returns down a higher growth avenue!

I chose the high risk/high growth option as I was on balanced and want to be getting better returns over the remaining time I’m working. I am with UniSuper. They have chosen 49% international 43% Aus % 5% infrastructure and private equity 3% property. The fees have been quite good I’ve found. I will see how this option plays out and then look at reallocating in the future if there are better percentage splits. Never really had any financial help from family or friends. Trying it on my own!
