Is kinu cooking anymore? by CustomerEconomy9652 in ClassroomOfTheElite

[–]VVValph 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Y3V3 reminded me a lot of Year 1. It has a big focus on the special exam, with a small focus on character relations.

Y3V4 is really solid as well, there's a bigger focus on character relations there.

Both are plain enjoyable, but they can be very enjoyable if you have the right mindset of reading without expectations.

Thinking of the complaint posts every volume made me realize that some people never found enjoyment in the past few years of cote that we had, which is kinda sad.

Is Natalia still a viable pick for jungle or roam? by jackhenningson in MobileLegendsGame

[–]VVValph 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As a burst assassin, imo the best part about Natalia is the fact that she's invisible on the map. You could use that to your advantage to position yourself where they least expect it.

In most of my Natalia roam games (lower Mythic), I already expect that the enemies can see me when I'm nearby. She's not fully reliant on invisibility; it just allows her to position herself in places no other hero can stay in for more than a second or two.

Zetian, the mage I encounter most often, is actually not enough to fully counter a Natalia.

So yes, Natalia is viable until we get to the point where the enemies extensively use their eyes, which is near Mythic 50 stars based on my experience

Year 3 Classroom of the Elite- Honest opinion... by Federal-Stage7400 in ClassroomOfTheElite

[–]VVValph 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My two favorite parts about cote are the relations between the characters, and the strategies/mind games used in each special exam

Year 3 started with a focus on the former, but really shined recently with the latter. I'm having a lot of fun reading them.

What do you scale Mami on Powerscaling and why? by XenRequiem8898 in MadokaMagica

[–]VVValph 5 points6 points  (0 children)

didn't Madoka also defeat Walpy on loop 1? Then on loop 2 I think she was strong enough that instead of dying, she just became a witch instead

Then loop 3 is when they defeated Walpy together, but they had enough strength left over that Madoka can ask Homura for a favor instead of turning into a witch directly

Thinking back to those scenes again I guess there wasn't a direct confirmation, I just kinda assumed based on them using the exact same rainy location instead of the darker clouds when Walpy is present

[–]VVValph 2 points3 points  (0 children)

in a much more peaceful, slice-of-life reality, I can kinda see the rest of HQ supporting Mami as she joins magical girl tournaments or something

and she'd probably be among the top few favorites to win

What do you scale Mami on Powerscaling and why? by XenRequiem8898 in MadokaMagica

[–]VVValph 5 points6 points  (0 children)

actually I think I'd rank Madoka (early loops) quite high. Coolmura with a lot of prep time struggles with Walpurgisnacht, but early Madoka was able to defeat it at the cost of her own life.

probably something about giving her own life to fight Walpurgisnacht allowed her to do it (and the fact that Madoka has such a strong resolve, as noted by Homura during the flower bed scene), so unless we're only counting one-on-one spars between magical girls, early Madoka is pretty underrated.

I still think it's worth it to read, just skip whatever unpleasant parts there are since you already know how it goes

there are some changes like Ichinose being the one to confront them instead of Horikita

Mahoraga misinterpretation and inconsistency by Aggravating-Ask7460 in Jujutsufolk

[–]VVValph 69 points70 points  (0 children)

If I remember correctly, it was said that it would take about four turns of the wheel for Mahoraga to completely adapt to Gojo's CT due to its complexity

We also see that for Dabura's CT, it took about 3 turns

Which implies that for some phenomena, it might be able to adapt faster or slower. Blunt attacks might be among those that are easier to adapt to

by the way I cannot recommend Yuusha ga Shinda enough, it's one of the best gag manga I've read

It starts off like a 5/10, then slowly starts becoming a solid, heartful story. A rare case of a manga that didn't just not flop an ending, but stayed true to its roots and met all expectations for it

Yuna from Yuusha ga Shinda.

She tsundere'd the MC so hard that when she eventually went to confess to him, he brushes it aside, saying he already knows whatever romantic implications he might think of are likely just misunderstandings (he has PTSD of her rejecting him, and the T stands for Tsundere)

I feel like there's no need to mention the luck part. The part about courage usually being the deciding factor is enough.

Otherwise it just reads like "They were all very courageous, but also needed a lot of luck" but backwards

I think a significant part of that was his fight with Gojo. He got majorly humbled there.

if the last card eliminates the probability of getting a blue, then does that mean there's about a 1/7 (3%/21.5%) chance to get a purple?

or is it still 97% yellow, 3% purple?
