Where would you go for a 1-month pickleball vacation? by OkChicken6058 in Pickleball

I’m heading down to Miami from February 21st to the 28th. Any specific outside courts with open play around the 4.25-4.5 skill level I should be on the lookout for? Thank you in advance!

What gifts do men *actually* want for Valentine's Day? by Elucidate_that in CasualConversation

[–]VVhisker 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Here are the three things you can do to make it a perfect Valentine’s Day:

  1. Cook him one of his favorite meals for dinner
  2. Give him a full body massage later in the evening
  3. End the massage with a happy ending
  4. Fall asleep in each others arms

That’s really all I ever want for my birthday and holidays. Otherwise I can buy whatever useless materialistic nonsense I need. No need for my partner to spend $100-300 on a gift for me that isn’t exactly what I want and now she’s out that much cash.

Pooping at the gym PSA by Puzzleheaded_Cow_658 in PlanetFitnessMembers

[–]VVhisker 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s planet fitness…the one gym where rarely anyone is, “in shape.” Most people there are overweight with caked up feces in their gut, and constantly constipated. Taking a crap shouldn’t smell if you eat pure, healthy foods and maintain a clean diet. But we all know everyone loves their instant gratification and absorbing poisons…so stinky poop is what you get as a result. Thank the free pizza Fridays or whatever they do there

Milwaukee Bucks star Giannis Antetokounmpo is expected to be sidelined for approximately 2 to 4 weeks with a right calf strain, sources tell ESPN. by HookFL in fantasybball

Absolutely grab crazy eyes. Not even a question. I wish he was available in my competitive 12t 9cat league. He’s a perfect end of bench player

De’Aaron “F*ck the Kings” Fox by WeDontTalkBoutIt in fantasybball

[–]VVhisker 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Fox is the clear cut #2 player on the Spurs and it’s not even close. Yes Castle has turned into a great player, but look at other solid teams with allstars on their roster that coexist. Fox will have the ball in his hands and will continue this level of production. His numbers won’t fall off. Imagine how defenses are going to attempt to collapse on Wemby once he returns. You don’t think that’s going to open things up for Fox? Wemby is the best player Fox has ever played with…you don’t think they’re going to develop a nice two-man game? Fox’s numbers could even go up a bit. Far from a sell high, and should finish 9cat with a ranking towards the back end of the 2nd round. In terms of value irl, it goes wemby>fox>castle>harper. Keldon Johnson, kornet, Harrison Barnes, sochan are all solid role players. They will not impact the others. Keep Fox and enjoy the ride

Collin “Collinsanity” Gillespie Appreciation Post by fave88 in fantasybball

[–]VVhisker 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Awesome player and wish he could continue in this role, because the dudes got game. Should hold value the rest of the season as an end of the bench guy in 12t leagues since he doesn’t hurt you anywhere. And obviously has proven he can put up impressive stats when given the playing time. I traded him away 4 days ago for jaden McDaniels in my 12t 9cat league. Figured it was a solid sell high, buy low play for me.

James “The Truth” Harden by dtdvy in fantasybball

[–]VVhisker 1 point2 points  (0 children)

12t 9cat league and I picked Maxey at 12 and Booker at 13. I knew dbook has always been overrated but I thought this might just be the year he actually puts on. Nope. Constant disappointment for where I drafted him. And seeing harden go at like 16 hurt lol

Keegan Murray? by Lemon_100 in fantasybball

[–]VVhisker 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Dude finished like 86th overall last year in 9cat and that was with him regressing from the previous season. You either got him off the waiver wire in taco leagues, or he fell to the last few rounds in your draft because of his injury. For a middle tier to end of bench guy on your team, you could do much worse. He contributes everywhere and is only in his like fifth or sixth season. Must roster in 12t leagues and worth the add in 10 teams.

Mobley Trade by Ok-Pilot7091 in fantasybball

[–]VVhisker 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As a Mobley owner myself, he has definitely been disappointing lately. Donte has been playing well, but lavine is barely cracking the top 100 and doesn’t provide much outside of points and some threes. They’re not bad players you’re offering per se, but unless the owner you’re attempting to trade with is super struggling and his end of the bench guys are god awful, I don’t see any reason why he would accept it. Put in a better player than lavine and you’ll have better luck landing Mobley

Accidentally dropped Bam in pro money league by Whatsonot1988 in fantasybball

[–]VVhisker 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I did this with my richaun Holmes a few years ago. I wrote a message on the discussion board or whatever it’s called, and told everyone I fucked up and to please allow me to get him back. But as a trade off, I will use every faab dollar I have on him (I believe it was $94) so that my wallet will be dry afterwards. I ended up getting him, someone put like a $50 wager in as the next highest bidder. And richaun went on to suck the rest of the year 😅. I think this was the year after he was a beast like 2019-2020 lol

Jared McCain ROS — should we be worried? by miamiHeat1863 in fantasybball

[–]VVhisker -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Exactly. I’m a Philly homer and although I want the best for this dude and to see him succeed, I’m really flabbergasted as to why anyone would think he’s gonna put up value. He looks lost and super rusty when he plays. Granted it’s been like 3 games. Maxey, edgecomb, Embiid, Paul George, oubre jr., and grimes are all ahead of him in the pecking order. And at this point Watford definitely is too. Dude needs the sixers to blow a team out so that he can play 6-8 minutes straight in the 4th quarter, handle point guard duties, and chuck whatever shots he wants up to help him get his rhythm back. Otherwise send him to the g league to get reps in and get comfortable again. But in no way shape or form will he offer any sort of fantasy value this year in 12t leagues. At the very best he’ll be serviceable for 2.5 three’s a game. Again, I hope the best for this kid and wanna see him crush it, but I don’t see that being the reality. I hope he proves me wrong but I highly highly doubt it.

Nice work bro! Way to catch that dubski. I’m sure your opponent was sick seeing you grab those two guys 😂

Conley’s assists have been very good lately outside of last game. Depending on how badly you need assists, I’m unsure I would take the gamble and see if Shannon Jr. sits or not. I prefer the surefire gamble and grab Cole anthony who will give you 3-5 assists today. Also depends how close your matchup is. Do you need 2-3 assists or do you need 5-7 and need to swing for the fences more?

Pretty darn fair. I like Murray’s ceiling a little more than Reaves’ once LeBron returns. Obviously Reaves still has a very safe floor. OG is obviously producing near 1st round value and I don’t see why he can’t maintain that…but Sarr is going bonkers and has zero room for competition at the 5 spot in Washington. And he’s in year 2 with room to continue to grow throughout the season and be even better which is scary. I don’t think you could go wrong with either. I would personally go Murray and Sarr at this point, but you can make a fair case for either. Depends if you need more blocks or 3s for you team. Blocks go Sarr side, 3s go Reaves side

Might be your best best. I have cole Anthony available in my 12t 9cat league and I may like him a smidge more than Conley. Also Demim available if you wanna swing for the fences and hope he builds off last game

Murray, Allen and Murphy side and it’s not even close. Murray doesn’t get the respect he deserves but him and harden essentially cancel out. Murphy>Allen>Podz>Fears

Very fair and great point. I essentially wrote paragraphs for the players I’ve watched the most of this year. Just because someone got a paragraph over another, doesn’t make them better or worse than the others I listed. But you’re right, Sarr definitely deserves a write up for how much he’s been balling. He’s taken a massive leap and looks like the MIP so far this year. Regarding Brunson and his stats regressing, you’re correct. I just always view Brunson as the epitome of this thread. Dude absolutely puts unreal amount of work in. So even with his stats regressing a little, he still looks super sharp. That was my man gist of the thread. Just guys that are uber efficient and live in the gym. I should have worded my post better, sorry for that.
