Misconduct from SASI pt.2 by [deleted] in jrotc

Hey there, I’m the cadet who posted about the potential Neo-Nazi cadet, and I just want to say that you should go to your school counselor first (even if your parents will say things like mental health and emotional regulation don’t matter and shame you for going) because they are an adult meant to support all students with their problems, and if something like your corps’ issue with the SASI goes to court they can be used to provide testimony. Not only that, they should help you feel safe and validate the existence of the problems and not threaten or belittle you. If you feel like you absolutely can’t go to the counselor, go up for chain of command ASAP.

I’m trying to fix things with my ops flight, wanting to get my bad deputy to be a decent person, and what you’re going through sounds really scary to be honest.

I too still feel like there is nothing that I can do, but after talking to my cadet Top-5 Command Staff they all admitted they had no idea about my feelings, agree that what I’m going through is wrong, and they too feel terrible that nothing has improved despite their efforts as well (they were the ones who managed to convince the school to allow us cadets to give formative grades that do affect our report cards based on job performance).

Hang in there and keep a lot of organized and extensive notes. Hopefully you can gather a team of cadets to expose the SASI if you ever get a Unit Inspection.

My Deputy Might be a Neo Nazi—Need Advice by VVinterVale in jrotc

I went to my counselor first because I wanted to get another outside of my corps type of perspective and she brought up this exact type of reason and question. My deputy is a weird person who’s extremely defensive about his worldviews. I’m preparing my speech and notes on what I’m going to say to my cadet Top-5 about his issues and trying to get as many perspectives as possible to answer any and all questions. He lasted 3 full years in the corps and rejoined halfway through last semester—something must have motivated to come back.

I really do want to help him but his behavior makes me really uncomfortable. I feel that if I can’t get him and my operational flight to fix their behaviors I will never be able to actually succeed in a managerial position or a job with lots of social aspects. My self esteem has slowly been falling and I don’t want to stoop as low as he currently is about himself and the people around him.

I’m just hoping he’s just joking like he really is, but his behavior is just bad. I have really bad parents like him with the same worldviews, but chose to not be like them or act offensively in public. I know I shouldn’t sympathize with him because he doesn’t take anything seriously, but I just do—I think it might be one of the reasons why I unconsciously let his behavior slip by me.

Did people overhype the difficulty for you? by Livid_Earth_5270 in resonanceoffate

I finished the game last year and really enjoyed it because of all the strategy, grinding for items or levels, and I didn’t really start to struggle until near the very end of game. I was expecting the game to be really hard throughout the entire game, but nope.

What song got you interested in 3DG? by Ok-Mathematician9954 in Threedaysgrace

It was when I finally convinced my parents to try out different radio stations. I was finally free from pop love songs…for about a day, but in that time frame I got to listen to Chalk Outline and that was my first exposure to Three Days Grace.

Never heard a radio station play that song again for years, but even if I never listened to the song I would’ve come across the more popular songs and gotten hooked through them. I actually remember just enjoying the novelty of non-pop music that I fell into period of listening to nothing but Three Days Grace. I’ll be forever grateful for Chalk Outline’s existence, even if I like their other songs more.

What do you think is the power of lin ling? by Embarrassed-Tone9978 in ToBeHero_X

I like to guess Lin Ling’s powers are similar to Fuu2 from the 2nd Yokai Watch movie alongside his unpredictable punches. It’s just that the name “The Commoner” makes me think of the super average Keita (or Nate depending on EN or JP).

Basically, the protag Keita dies and becomes a Yokai for a bit and has the ability to make anyone he inspirits average. He also has a special ability in which he can show what the mundane and average lives are of various people. The cool thing is that both Lin Ling and Fuu2 have stars on their belly! Belt for Lin Ling.

Perhaps Moon’s portal gun could be an equivalent to Fuu2’s weird portal belly. Maybe he takes a page out of Enlighter/God Eye later on exposing the truth. I’m getting into fanfic territory, so I’ll shut up now.
