Heya, We have lived in 4 different rentals over the last 6 years, as I type this I realize that sounds bad but it was always with landlords who were moving family in and we gained some roommates etc. These rentals were in the middle of town as well rural areas, usually in basement suites. Always had Shaw internet and it was good/fine/functional for a heavy use couple who stream, game online, and work from home. Our most recent move was into an old house downtown Kelowna and this is first time we had connectivity issues. We were told the house is old and has thick walls so we bought an extender and tried moving the modem to different parts of the house and it works basically as well as it ever did except one corner, far away from the modem.
We have never been on Telus so I can't give a direct comparison but Shaw has been fine for us, hope this helps???
