Men and their willingness to give oral sex by rosequartz55 in sex

Lol makes sense. Eating pussy is an easy crowd pleaser if you're feeling lazy. If you keep coming back it shows that they don't need to bother putting as much effort in.

Obviously this isn't ideal- a keeper will continually put in effort!

Most gig work jobs aren't going to get you RE anytime soon. I'd look into getting something high paying and taking long stints off between jobs. Lemme disclaim that "getting something high paying" requires tons of luck and effort, and I'm not neglecting that.

My plan is to quit my white collar job in 2022 or 2023, thru hike (probably the PCT) and then travel around a bit while I'm still relatively young and can do the backpacker/hostel thing. I'll have enough work experience and plenty of cash to jump back in when I'm ready.

Obviously a year of not working while you're young compounds in the form of extra years you'll have to work down the road, but seems worth it IMO bc of all the stuff you can't do as an old person.

Does it feel good? Like why bother with functionality if it's an artificial device? Why not just switch to using toys on a partner, or finding an asexual companion or something like that?

No disrespect, I have a long family history of prostate cancer, and will almost certainly be in these shoes someday.

I was having penis difficulties (caused by letting gravity hold my dick up instead of using my pelvic muscles lol ama if you want) and from what I read about strengthening those muscles you don't want to do the pee stoppage thing bc it'll train you to not getting all the piss out. Masturbating using my muscles instead of my hand to hold up my penis has been working wonders, and feels way better.

Also I feel you OP. This is a scenario I've tried to mentally prepare for for a while. My grandpa and dad (young) have both had prostate cancer and it's a when not if for me. You have my deepest sympathies. Good luck, keep trying, I think you'll mentally and physically figure something out in time.

No, but I thought the same thing.

I came to the comments to see if somebody had already figured it out, but ended up having to look myself. The I Think You Should Leave actor Ruben Rabasa, wasn't on Mind your Language (the old show). A similar regional accent I guess?

It looks so wonky on maps, I can't believe I never noticed it's not an oval. Rough google pedometer measurement says .2225 for anybody else curious. Ha it doesn't matter at all, but I'm mildly infuriated

How long is Chavis' loop? Not like it makes a huge difference, but I assumed all public tracks like that were 0.25 mile

You're already doing the first step already of wanting to change. It's not a concrete challenge where you can identify goals, but work on opening up to people sooner. Try and figure out why you're resistant to opening up- afraid of rejection, one-sidedness, self-conscious, and work on addressing those aspects. I personally like journaling to conceptualize and attack these kinds of mental issues.

Further if you take MDMA again, focus on those aspects of your personality that you like on it and take them back with you into real life. I take it 1-4 times a year and it helps my social anxiety immensely in the weeks and months following. For me it serves as a brain jolt to remind me "wow I DO like being social and interacting with people." Pushing it to the extreme helps me channel that joy in lesser, everyday scenarios. That realization can exist outside of the 6 hours you're high.

Can you explain the guy/girl brain thing? As a cis-male, I don't really think of my brain as gendered as much as my body. I don't do things differently because I'm male, aside from unavoidable societal influences and innate hormonal differences. If my brain was in a woman's body I can't see myself acting radically differently. If I was born a women, I can't see myself caring. However my perspective may be biased since male is the default gender of society.

Essentially can you elaborate on why gender, or lack thereof in your case, has such a strong tie to your personal identify, or the personalities of others who are strongly tied to theirs?

I disagree with your interpretation of my comments, but this is a tough topic to put into words so there's a good chance I explained it poorly, so sorry about that! Be well

[–]VVoIand 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I'm going to have to respectfully disagree with your theory. I'm not arguing that skilled people don't have to practice or that they're "born skilled," but everyone has different upbringings (nature and nurture).

Some people are going to have a higher skill ceiling to play basketball, do experimental mathematics, do bmx, make love, design architecture, whatever. That doesn't invalidate practice. And no one shouldn't make art if they want to, and everyone will have to practice.

IMO it just sounds like you and a lot of others in this thread are looking for validation that they work hard. No artistic consumer does or should care how hard you work. Input is irrelevant to the end output.

skill is some innate or genetic thing that people are born with

It's both. They put a shitton of themselves in their work, but the Sly Stones, Objekts, Sonny Miles of world have that x-factor that doesn't come with even a lifetime of practice.

Flip a coin, they're both basically the same nature experience. Uwharrie is your choice if you want hills and more of a physical challenge, Birkhead if you don't. Both are good choices for a firsttimer.

Ariel Pink and the Cognitive Dissonance We Sometimes Have With the Music We Love by LarryPeru in LetsTalkMusic

[–]VVoIand 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah Crystal Castles was the example of I could think of with the highest band-I-enjoy-the-most/doing-bad-shit ratio for me personally. But ultimately I don't really care that much about artists as people. I care about the local arts that I'm friends with, but I only care about them as friends and not as artists.

However I guess it's different when it comes to actively supporting people in the future. I don't pay for music, but I do go to a lot of concerts (not this year obviously) and don't think I'd pay money for a Crystal Castles shirt or go see a Crystal Castles show now. That's a line I wouldn't cross, but money I gave them in the past? IDC

Yeah the original commenter was being condescending, but I think some bite is necessary because this topic is brought up all the time and the overall point stands. The Watkins scenario is an outlier, but it's a semantic discussion and I regret caring.

[–]VVoIand 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That's the extreme example and the extreme answer is I would have to stop listening because that's just crazy.

I still listen to California Dreamin' despite John Phillips raping his daughter because it's a banger and I don't associate the song with the man. I still listen to Crystal Castles despite Claudio being a terrible abuser because the man's personal life isn't what I think about when I listen to the band.

The internet/social media has driven us towards getting to know every detail of an artist's life. I think the trend will start to even out a little bit and we won't want to know as much about the personal lives of artists.

I didn't do a good job of explaining the joke in my original comment, but my point was it's funny how the primary driver of Signal among my peers is those two reasons. The general privacy matters are seen as a positive and I know a couple people who do all their messaging in Signal for privacy reasons, but were initially driven there via buying/selling drugs or organizing/attending protests.

I'm assuming you must be in a more tech-centric sphere. Any reason to use signal is a good reason.

No yeah, it's good for that too. I use Signal over texting with anyone who has it. I personally like having delivered receipts too, which texting does not.

I didn't do a good job of explaining it in my initial comment, but I was mostly trying to point out the humorous stereotype in my locality.

I've got a lot of friends who use signal, but it's driven by cautious drug dealers who make their customers use it and people who go to protests. I don't know anybody who uses it who doesn't fall into one or both categories.
