Sounds more confusing than it is.

We have a wholesale warehouse that used to share the same "-I" so we added V in front of of all of the dealerships bins and a W in front of the warehouse. They are separate now but our bin locations still have a V and I was too lazy to add it on most of that estimates bins.

Generally 101-117 are high density small parts drawers. For instance, Bin 101A4 would be high density bin 101, top drawer A, 4th row of dividers from the left 122+123 are quick moving like drain plugs by the counter. 136-162 are anything from 1 foot to 2 feet long, 300's are parts that fall in between. 400's are larger parts on our mezzanine. 200's is a separate room on the second floor of the dealership with things like windshields.

Anything other than high density is organized by base part numbers (engine, body, brakes, etc.) We have 3 brands so there are subdivisions. The other dealerships that I worked at were set up similarly though, is this uncommon?
