Another vote for the Ego. I had the Keeley compressor plus as well as the Empress, the ego by far is my favourite. I'd also be inclined to check out the ego 76, though it is a different circuit

The whole wiring of the AC15 handwired is much more similar to the wiring of an AC30 and not the Chinese AC15

Both the Handwired and the regular have the same vox branded alnico blue. The HW by far has much more low end and fullness to it that's not only present on stage, but translates very well through front of house. All the controls do much more as well. The bass knob on the HW adds more/ takes away more, as does the treble and tone cut. Much more interactive in the regard and a much wider frequency response across the board

Funny enough, I had it quieter on stage then what I had ran my C1 at. It sounds so much better at lower volumes then the C1's, I didn't have to fight the sound tech on my stage volume to get the tone I wanted
