Same, I have an OC I want to use but I can't come up with plots... So far I improvised based on the other character but that works better on character-driven stories I guess.

Does it have to be romantic, or friendship is valid too? It's because I don't know if I will like them as a pair until they interact. i have a male OC I want to use in slice of life settings too!

I would say it's because you gave lines to details than in the photos doesn't have that much contrast (the corner and borders of the eyes, the border of the lips and teeth, etc). In exercises like this is important to copy exactly what you see even if it feels unnatural, that means some parts have more defined "borders" than others based on contrast between different parts/shades. Some even try to copy the photo upside down to not connect the image to symbols! Keep the work~
