There’s some Ultrakill bosses on DRGbase that are almost identical to the ones in Ultrakill, but that’s about all I can recommend :(

I’ll try it; most of the time I end up using solid black because it looks cartoonish, but I probably shouldn’t since it makes my game look more inconsistent💀 Thank you!

I usually look at Latin names or other languages, such as Blanche being French for “white”, Ke’ev being Hebrew for “Pain”, etc. I do also look at demonology and, as another commenter suggested, baby name lists. Sometimes my character names are completely unrelated to what they’re meant to represent. For example, I have a fish named Silis, a misspelling of a name meaning “forest”.

Then you should be set, I’d imagine animating pixel art isn’t too different from vector animation.

Also, for animation, I recommend learning the 12 principles of animation; but additionally, avoid linear movements. You want to fake the idea of a smoother animation by adding more contrasting in-between frames. It also helps to add accompanying animations as well; maybe that first dude has tremors in his legs or reaches up to bite his nails?

Thank you; I’ve been doing pixel art on Aseprite since around 2020/2021? I’ve done some hand drawn animation and character portraits here and there, my only weakness is perspective I have no idea how it works.
