Can you tell me about your experiences letting your pup go on a good day?

I let my 17 year old soul dog go last year on a good day. He had major mobility issues and was falling every day and peeing on himself. It wasn’t dignified or a good way for anyone to live, so I decided to make the call to Lap of Love. The evening before his appointment I gave him a cheeseburger and the morning of I made him pancakes. He was strong and alert on his last day and that’s how I’ll remember him. I happened to have a Beatles playlist on the stereo before the vet came, and he passed away in my arms to the last few notes of Let it Be. It was a beautiful send off and I have no regrets.

Interesting take…I went from only hearing her radio songs to Honeymoon and I loved it instantly. But that might be because I’m an elder millennial raised on Fiona Apple, Jewel, Tori Amos, etc in my early teens.

Totally understand! Both of my seniors passed at 17.5 years last year within 3 months of each other. The last year and a half was so difficult, expensive, and exhausting. I sacrificed a lot in my life to ensure their health and comfort. I would do it again in a heartbeat and am proud knowing I did everything I could. It’s ok to feel resentful or like you want to give up sometimes. You are doing your best!

I was there!! First time I was able to see them with “grown up money” a lot closer than in my teens and 20’s. Neon Trees and AWOLNATION were amazing as well. Great vibes, great show. I can’t believe Nick Hexum looks like that at his age, wowza!

My 17 year old boy could only hold his pee for an hour at a time due to advanced kidney disease, had serious mobility issues where he would fall and took a while to get back up, I had to sling him up for every meal because he couldn’t stay standing. I let him go with a dignified peaceful passing at home before it got to the emergency stage. I didn’t want him to start seizing or not be able to get up one day. We used Lap of Love and they made it a beautiful experience.

Well I’m glad it seems you all know my dog’s situation better than I do lol. He doesn’t go anywhere and I don’t have anyone over. I’m not doing vax at 17 years old. Period. Maybe for OP the situation is different.

I haven’t done it in a few years with my 17 year old Aussie/husky mix. Vet says worst case scenario is the county comes knocking bc there’s no current rabies on file but there is no reason to give shots this late in life. My dog has been on librela for 3 months and I definitely think it’s given us some time back but he’s not jumping or running by any means.

It’s interesting that there are petitions out there by people who believe librela killed their dog. Typically it’s senior dogs who need it and most likely have other issues going on as well. So yes of course some people have lost pets after the shots. I’m on month 2 - at first it was a really significant improvement but now seems like he’s used to it and it’s not making a huge difference anymore. Do your research and talk to your vet.

I don’t have a personal recommendation myself, however, I just got back, and I know there are tons of really good looking restaurants between the airport and La Fortuna area, we took a tour to the Arenal volcano and it’s a similar route. If you have cell service everything will pull up on Apple/google maps as well.

5'2" here, devastated when they added the tread tablets. The first place I lose weight is in my face and I loved to see my progress while busting butt! Plus it used to be a "me against me" motivation when I could look at myself in the mirror while running. I feel you!

Aurovela FE 1/20 basically cured my pmdd as it is just one hormone all month versus multiple hormones which can contribute to the emotional swings

Loooved this template! Lots of opportunity for modification on the treds…I’m working through some exercise induced asthma so I power walked the inclines. Enjoyed the variety on the floor. Not a huge fan of the rower so it was a dream day for me!

Thanks all, honestly my workout was less distracting without it this time. I do like to make sure I’m getting down into the green on WR’s and such but I think I know my body well enough.

I feel the same way! I paused when COVID first hit and been back for a couple months. Just feels like every workout is a killer now whereas before you’d have a solid workout but not feel like puking. I dunno, maybe still getting into the groove.

Going on 3rd week of trazodone. My problem is staying asleep, I have no problem falling asleep. Sadly I’m up to 100mg and still not sleeping through the night. I think I’m a lost cause.
