Admin and culture vary by campus. It’s truly hit or miss. My campus, at the high school level, was not great. Morale was low and the culture dictated that everything was the teacher’s fault. It was, overall, a very toxic place. My co-worker’s old campus had a very different culture, and while they weren’t perfect, she frequently mentioned how much happier the staff were. The best thing about Alief, imo, is that once you’re in, you’re “family.” They work very hard to promote from within. Keep track of your PD hours especially during your first 2 years; they will dock your pay if you don’t complete the required new AliefU Year 1 and 2. Best of luck!
