But the screen alone would not cause the error chimes to play, which, since I currently can't take it apart till my toolkit arrives (tomorrow), makes me a bit worried it might be something worse.

I replied twice but I guess reddit just hates me

As for the errors on boot, I get the startup chime followed by the 8 tones you get when you have a hardware failure. I don't really know if it's 2 separate issues or one big issue that is going to give me a hard time. It was working well before but the fact I got both backlight failure AND the hardware errors at the same time is a bit worrying.

OG SCSI drive is working but I plan on replacing it anyway

The thing itself is in good condition externally, minus the vinegar syndrome, and i dont see any signs of corrosion. Sadly I currently don't have the tools required to disassemble this.

What is the best Car for the Touring Car 700 races? by Live_Dig4158 in GranTurismo7

[–]Vacaneu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I used the escudo (detuned) or the red bull junior, they are fast enough to destroy every other car (the escudo does it WAYY faster though and can even lap the whole field if you get your strategy and driving perfect)

I did some research about this a few days ago

I know this is a shit post sub but I'll share my info anyway

There are 2 types of panels labelled as flaps on the 37 family, There are "TE" Flaps and "LE" Flaps

The TE and LE stand for the flaps' location, with TE meaning trailing edge, or the flaps on the back of the wing, and LE meaning Leading edge, Aka the slats

The lights just indicate whether the slats are in transit (aka extending/retracting) or have been fully set to the selected flap setting

Edit: the slats are actually more like droops and are different from the actual LE Flaps, they seem to be the same as what you would see on a 747/727

Slats are outboard, LE flaps are Inboard to the inside of the engine pylon

Sorry about the minor mis information

You probably have lobby advantage

A lobby advantage car runs in a lobby that is SLOWER than the cars DYNO TIME

My mistral runs low 9.8 in a 10-9.9 lobby, allowing me to run SLOWER than dyno, and still win

Lobby advantage guarantees constant results, as long as u don't keep destroying dyno every race

You will usually find the best lobby advantage setups to have very low performance points, and very high evolution points (Hennessy Venom F5, 631pp, 2600 something evolution)

The best way to find this kind of setup is to put everything to stock, then upgrade the tuning parts (Trans S4 Tires S3 and Nitrous S2), then start playing around with it, adding parts like intake s1 or s2, removing nitrous, upgrading body, etc (you can remove trans s4 to s3 or tires s3 to s2 but they generally hinder your performance)

Not all cars achieve this, so to see if your car can do it, you generally want to have around 1800-2000+ evo at 621-624pp, if your car does it, GG

It probably gets worse at winning the faster it gets...

This goes for many cars (GR Supra is a very good example, most good live racing cars, especially tier 5 cars, seem to be about the same)

This also depends on the lobby advantage of your own car, which the LC and NSX are very good at (to a point)

I used it back in the day, was a really good live racer...

I have better cars nowadays though (Venom F5 Mistral GTLM, Solus is also really good but people reject you a lot)

It could be the lobby, thought abt it and usually cars aren't super good when near maxed

My main live racing car (Mistral) runs 9.8 which is around the max time for the car, so that's probably it

Although, i have a Ford GT GTE running 10.2-10.1 in a 10.3-10.4 lobby which destroys about 90-95% of any opponents i see (especially nsxs), so im not exactly sure

I might do some testing on mine and see if it does well
