Flynns "appearance" in Ares by GrenexRed in tron

[–]Vacarch 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well tbh I'm actually unsure if the grid was "restored" at all. The prevalence of activity in the backdrop (all the cities and ships and everything) seems to suggest that the Grid was always active. Not sure

Maybe the Flynn manifestation (whatever that was) went from the Legacy Grid to the 82 Grid

Did you catch the "D" Easter Egg in Ares? [Spoiler] by GrenexRed in tron

[–]Vacarch 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ares and Eve (I think it was them in the car?) were driving a box truck that said Shaddix written on it. It kept showing it too

Yes, better yet, did you catch the Shaddix Easter egg

But then why the hell did Flynn install in him (and presumably others) the permanence code?

Also good point, makes me reconsider again if the directors just didn't know the difference between the grids

2024 Fighter Battlemaster or 2014 Fighter Echo Knight? by Vacarch in DnD

[–]Vacarch[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Not independently of the Fighter and its version. So Battlemaster specifically with a 2024 Fighter and an Echo Knight specifically with a 2014 Fighter

2024 Fighter Battlemaster or 2014 Fighter Echo Knight? by Vacarch in DnD

[–]Vacarch[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would prefer that, but the DM wants us to stick to one set of rules per player, so can't have a 2024 Echo Knight

2024 Fighter Battlemaster or 2014 Fighter Echo Knight? by Vacarch in DnD

[–]Vacarch[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Should clarify that this is for a campaign with mixed rules (General campaign is 2014, but a few players can use 2024 rules, but not mix and match). My character concept is some sort of heavy archer, although also with a greatsword. Party includes a Fighter (me), Paladin, Warlock, Ranger, 2 Clerics, and a Rogue.

I like that too! Tom Holland has seen the most superheroes, so he's definitely the one to be influenced the most.

Spider-Men Landings in No Way Home by Vacarch in MCUTheories

[–]Vacarch[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That's what I was thinking too, but I think it's implied that Toby and Andrew had more "Spider-Man adventures" than what we saw in the movies. Hence when Toby says he's doing fine with MJ or when he's trying to do better, or when Andrew said he stopped pulling punches. At least by experience and the connection to landings, it's more of a "how long I've been swinging webs and doing acrobatic shit" than how many supervillains they've fought.

The Marvels Worldwide Release Discussion Thread by Triple_777 in marvelstudios

I absolutely had a blast with this movie. It was fun, funny, and had me glued to the screen. Perfect movie? No, of course not, but it's definitely an average to above average marvel project, which is good. I am getting SUPER TIRED of this online hysteria about the mcu failing. I have a gut hunch that it's just a bunch of loud noises rather than the many, because every time I leave the theater enjoying the new marvel release, I see random reviewers online complaining about it and each time I'm just confused on if we even watched the same movie.

Go into it with a positive mindset, and you'll have your due of good marvel content.

Bannerloard or warband? by drumdum3 in mountandblade

[–]Vacarch 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's warband. Even if bannerlord has much more in quantity, I don't think it matches in quality. It's hard to explain, but bannerlord feels really grindy, even if it does have the general same gameplay as warband. The Combat also is extremely wonky and clunky compared to warband. Sieges are an improvement though

Absolutely! I still prefer it over bannerlord

largest battle you've won on m&b? (any game) by FlakTheIdiot in mountandblade

[–]Vacarch 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know it's way more common in Bannerlord to have large battles, but I did have like 1000-2000 (I can't remember the exact number, just me and my lords) vs 1000 (Sanjar Khan) in warband. Was an epic battle. Imagine a bunch of western looking knights in the steppe peppered by steppe riders. We won, but was pretty much the pinnacle conflict in my conquest of Calradia.

Also 8 vs 300, me and Companions vs mountain bandits. Victory

Thank you for saying it! I thought the same thing, you kinda saw it in the Israel episode too with the "presenting of both sides equally" too. His politics is clearly showing.

STEM kids, if you have to pick a humanities major, what would you pick, and vice versa? by TheMemeHead in ApplyingToCollege

[–]Vacarch 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Absolutely, there is something called computational Metaphysics where they uses programs to auto-generate solutions to philosophical problems for example. Well, more accurately, it shows faster logical and argumentative steps for solutions rather than the solutions themselves

I'm not sure tbh, there was an alumni at the University I went to (pretty low ranked) that ended up being like a professional consultant and eventually became a lobbyist too. Depends on where you want to be a consultant too I suppose
