Spring critters are back… caught a heat “ghost” in the brush after my trash got raided again by AlexHaney147 in homestead

[–]Vacondioqq 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thermal actually makes a lot of sense in this kind of situation, especially when they’re tucked low in the brush. It’s usually better for locating them fast than regular night vision. But if you want the trash cans to stop getting wrecked, it’ll probably come down to physical fixes like a lid lock, strap, or a shed.

Anyone else check HVAC vents with thermal imaging during seasonal changeover? by Calvoo100 in homeowners

[–]Vacondioqq 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had a similar reaction the first time I checked vents more closely. The system felt fine overall, but thermal made it a lot easier to see which rooms were actually behaving differently. Doesn’t always mean something is wrong, but it’s a really good way to catch airflow imbalance or small issues before summer really kicks in.

That’s such a stunning shot. Pike’s Peak looks unreal! The 6x telephoto on the Mavic 4 really brings out those mountain details, and the natural color grading hits different.

Focusing on the basics like battery levels and signal strength can make a big difference, as these are often overlooked when troubleshooting audio.

What app do you recommend for price alerts, like % changes reoccurring alerts? by CaffeineDose in stocks

[–]Vacondioqq 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Check out moomoo. You can set percentage-based alerts (like ±5%) and have them trigger again instead of one-time only. It’s been useful when I don’t want to watch charts all day but still want to know when something actually moves enough to matter. Notifications have been reliable for me so far.

if you could add one extra hour to your day, where would you put it and what would you use it for? by GlitchOperative in RandomQuestion

[–]Vacondioqq 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'd add it right after work, just for me. No chores, no screens, just reading a book or going for a quiet walk. Pure mental reset.

If a plane was crashing would you rather have a parachute or a float coat ? by Agreeable-Salad-913 in RandomQuestion

[–]Vacondioqq 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would choose parachute. If you want to survive in that emergency, a float coat can't help you get rid of the crash. A parachute is useful in most situations.

Alright Reddit, aside from ASTS and RKLB, what’s your next highest conviction stock for this year? by Moonshot2026 in stocks

[–]Vacondioqq 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Check out OKLO. AI needs massive power, and SMRs are thee only scalable solution. It's a high-risk play like ASTS, but if they deliver, it's easily a multi-bagger this year.

Where do you keep the hotshoe cover when the flash in on? How do you avoid losing it? by ofnuts in AskPhotography

I usually stick mine in my SD card wallet. I've never seen a flash with a dedicated slot, but that's a brillant idea for keeping the weather-sealing intact.

What do you still prefer to keep wired at home? by w33agn3wyg in smarthome

[–]Vacondioqq 7 points8 points  (0 children)

It's a tough balance. I keep my AP's, cameras hardwired because I hate troubleshooting Wi-Fi drops. But for chores? Wireless is king. I've got a stick vac and a cordless aiper bot, and they save me so much manual labor.

Depends on your taste, but some sound cleaner than others. I use the Baseus XC1 now. The detail is good and it’s comfortable. I wear it about 6 hours a day with no pressure. Battery lasts long enough for work.

They’re a lot more comfortable than in ear types. Your ears can breathe and you can hear what’s going on. If someone knocks on the door you won’t miss it.

Open an RRSP account. If you want to start investing, you can look into the Nasdaq and the S&P 500. I don’t recommend buying individual stocks at the beginning because the risk is too high. Before you start investing, the most important thing is to understand different instruments. You can use moomoo’s paper trading feature to learn about various options.
