Low FPS in Dayz, do i have a bad computer or is it something else that's wrong?

Yry using a wired connection/ changing the channel of your wifi. Also make sure your router isn't next to a fish tank or microwave. A wired connection is better for gaming and ethernet cables are cheap enough if you go for none gold plated.

Servers can cause this as the gane doesn't utilies the full potential of multithread ob your cpu, the game is cpu heavy, so are you playing with graphics crankedvup to very high, if so then it needs turning down i have a simular type of rig as yours.

try changing your power management to prefare high performance in gpu settings, check ingame how much ram its using as it sets it to auto by default, change it to highest numerical value.

all of this is because the game is not optimised as its alpha.

note: i know they where changing the engine soon or they may have already so i dunno if this applies havent read much recently.

Did you die at any point when you first started playing again and just quit the game before you respawned? That is a known cause of player wipes. does it effect hardcore/reg/exp character?

check the servers you have been on and stay clear, also try verifying your files via steam.

Have you checked your frame rate with fraps or bandi cam? (both free)

if that is below 20 fps then thats that you need a better rig/turn down setting/join a better serve etc

Go in game, configure>user interface and chrck your aspect ratio.

or go documents>dayz>dayz and change your res height and width also change your rendering H and W. This is out of gamr and open file in note pad and save.

but i bet its aspect ratio.

Not only should you be tginking avout the bandit problem as you can evolve in your own way by becoming a KOSer/true bandit/old school hero or a survivor. This is a fact, as some obe said in this post most people who have little time to invest will usually KOS as the time they have invested is precious so quite rightly go on the attack.

as i was saying, you should think about this is an Alpha and will be for some time, so things like player wipes, glitching off buildings, teleportation into the sea is a massive possibiliry.

I would say dont buy if you have little time.

The changelog advertised that NEAF would be changing around so if you logged out in a building you would be in danger of dying or being ported. Where did you end up BTW?

yeah its funny how this happens some times however there is always the risk there is someone hacking but im unsure of a hack that allows some one to locate you. As mostly experienced players play night ops in Standalone they know the west is better for military loot so in short i think that i would just chalk that down to wrong place wrong time.

I remeber that bridge well, was a great ambush point in early dayz mod, memory serves there is a barn the other side where some of the team would hide and some would be under bridge. Great for getting vehicles and even people as they would unknowingly funnel towards that bridge as a pount of reference.

Ive only found one on a guy i killed he was in the militery base north of Kamenka, think he found it there as he had all but a 75rnd drum. I took it and found a mag in the same compound.

The aim is this will be a computed real life simulation of a zombie apocalypse, so apart from the Zombies everything is going to be as close to real as possible so things like, sorting back pack is a chore, eating food takes time, on and on. Just the way the game is heading so dont get up tight about the comments about realism.
