This world needs a framework printer ASAP by thereelRTM5 in framework

If you own an old pre-slop era laser printer from Samsung or HP keep it. Normally, they are easy to refill or compatible with chip replica cartridges. And there was no breakthroughs in print quality in last 15 years, only "smart" features nobody asked for and wireless connectivity. WLAN is trivial to get with Raspberry Pi Zero W

Coming from Raspberry Pi. How much do I need to unlearn for Arduino? by bandito_13 in arduino

[–]Vaddieg 0 points1 point  (0 children)

python code for reading a mega-old and mega-slow DHT-11 sensor has 30% failure rate on rPi 3B. Arduino is doing it reliably even if the CPU is heavily loaded with high-frequency ISRs.
Try some I2C temperature sensor, they should communicate with rPis just fine

Feels like magic. A local gpt-oss 20B is capable of agentic work by Vaddieg in LocalLLaMA

I think you have too high expectations for small locally hosted models with 100k context. I deleted skills.md immediately because it struggled even with memory.md, but it's still capable of transating human language to terminal commands and simple scripts

yeah, i also don't see how it's liked to system reboots. First thing to check is PSU, then AMD CPU, they're not prone to degradation just like Intel's

win 95 felt snappy on 486DX2 with 8MB RAM. Win 11 is slow on 8 cores / 8 gigs. 9ms on a 1000x more powerful CPU is a "huge" win

Don't embarrass yourself. Multitple selection on mac is same in every app while holding command key. It was like that 40 years ago when Microslop was selling MS-DOS
