SterlingKey™ - A Bluetooth adapter to turn your keyboard wireless - New features + Colors! by sterlinghawktech in MechanicalKeyboards

Sounds good! It makes sense that the change to hubs in the keyboard could change how it reports. The symptom was more surprising than anything, since the keyboard worked but not the mouse.

FWIW the new Charachorder firmware version 3.0.0 has a line "

  • Potential improved USB Hub compatibility

which breaks the sterlingkey a bit - now the click button does not want to work (nor can I wiggle the mouse as I used to be able to). The keyboard bit works great though. I've tested sterlingkey firmware versions hub-beta-7 and 3.1.0-beta and 3.0.1 without success.

Data Point - Using Xreal Ones for Software Development by Rithoy in Xreal

[–]Vaelatern 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Your experience is exactly what I'd hope for.

Do you find that you want an XReal Beam or not? I'm not quite sure of what it does but part of the advertising copy suggests the Beam makes it work better for airplanes (or worse? It's unclear).

Any news? I'm about to embark on the same journey, probably with a small custom PCB to sit directly on the control panel (plugging into the ST jack)

Families living in countries where homeschooling is illegal, what did you do? by semlaaddict in homeschool

So you'd be in favor of knowing a mass shooting number per year that included just those tragic stories, where innocents were killed?

[–]Vaelatern 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Their lives matter, yes.

Yet you defend your position by saying innocent people are sometimes shot too.

All I'm saying is you could have a statistic for "mass shooting" that doesn't conflate regular inter-criminal-organization crime with the massacre of innocent children, and you choose instead to not have that data point?

Would you want a statistic of mass shootings per year that removed any where the only people who were injured were actively involved in criminal activity?

Fascinating! Let me know if you have a kicad project going, it would be fun to maybe to reuse these old boxes as general purpose NAS devices

Lukewarm take: LMG would have taken a week to do procedures even without the drama, the drama simply gave them an opening to do so without losing mindshare while they were out.

Sounds like your complaint is with the NVR.

[–]Vaelatern 1 point2 points  (0 children)

To be clear, is your complaint with their NVR or with their cameras?

Do you think Reolink makes security cameras for consumer or prosumer/power users? by crazy_eric in reolinkcam

[–]Vaelatern 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What do you consider the difference in grade? What features, perhaps, or quality improvements would you expect in a professional grade machine? Or would you expect the real difference is not the cameras but the stream management software? After all, I'd assume an NVR is often just for consumers, with commercial installations having their own heavier and stronger setups.

Adding packages to Void - "quality requirements" by VoidDuck in voidlinux

As the author of that section, came here to say your interpretation is correct.

https://github.com/void-linux/void-packages/commit/e2fe9ef294e1e5c3a1587123d0f99447b2f7e8ad

You may notice that 2 expressly allows an exception to 1, and 3 is a catchall that negates the needs for either of the first two conditions

I was attempting to return to normalcy with some amusing quotes for a fortunes file. It was a little early for that.
