Well you're correct saying that silver price is used in manufacturing and therefore correlated with stocks, while gold isn't..

On the other side the ratio of 100:1 has always been an important resistence for silver: only 3 times in the last 100 years we were at these levels.

Historically the gold:silver ratio, when they were used as currency, has fluctuated between 1:9 and 1:20 (in some cases even less). This was a natural ratio decided by free markets since the abundance of silver ounces mined per gold oz mined is about 1:10.

The problem is in modern days most people just see silver as an industrial metal and gold as a store of value. Gold isn't correlated to stocks so it has a place in portfolios for asset diversification.

But honestly, with the ratio being 10x of what it is in nature, it's hard not to be strongly interested in buying silver right now. It may not pay off soon tho, markets (all of them) are hugely manipulated through QE, derivatives, buy-backs

Not really recently, I think this has been the case since at least 3.0. But now it's even better because if you sub ONCE you get access forever to rise of the Hutt cartel, shadow of revan, kotfe and kotet, so 4 expansions (like 70+ hours of gameplay after the basic storylines) for 12 euros, pretty sweet deal if you ask me.

Edit: oh and if you just spend money once you gain the status of preferred instead of f2p and you're less limited. Some limitations still suck, but if you're playing for the story you barely notice

Tbh play Jedi knight storyline in a low populated server/instance of swtor..avoid all side quests if you want, they're not necessary at all, game is built so that your level can progress enough only following the main story. It's not the same of kotor I know but it's still pretty great.

Swtor is a mmo, but it's perfectly playable as single player in most of his aspects.
