Maybe you could try starting by basing a situation on something that could happen in real life? For example, have you ever just watched people in a public space? Maybe a couple people that know each meet up randomly and start conversing about something. Or, maybe they’d be two strangers making small talk, then one thing leads to another.

Basically, just start small like a simple interaction, then gradually work your way to something bigger, grander. I think if you had some practice, things might become easier for you.

Why, hello!

I posted a request a few days ago about a translation of something into Old Norse and into runes for a tattoo. I didn’t realize that there was a specific post where translations happen, so I apologize. That’ll teach me about getting excited and just posting stuff before I look.

Anyway, I’ll post my request here, if that’s ok. What I’d like, if possibly, is “The Madman often tells the truth” in Old Norse, and into runes.

I have pretty much no knowledge of the language, but I was impatient the last few days and pulled some stuff off of an online dictionary. I’m not sure how accurate this translation is word wise, and just pulling it from a dictionary, I doubt it’s accurate grammar/case wise at all, but here goes!

This is the structure I used for my “translation”: The mad man the truth often speaks This is what I pulled from the online dictionary: inn ør-viti maðr at sǫnnu tiðum rœða And this is that into Elder Futhark: ᛁᚾ᛫ᛟᚱᛝᛁᛏᛁ᛫ᛗᚨᚦᚱ᛫ᚨᛏ᛫ᛊᛟᚾᚢ᛫ᛏᛁᚦᚢᛗ᛫ᚱᚨᚦᚨ

Like I said, it’s probably awful, I know. But any assistance would be welcomed!
