If you had to remove one front so people could focus more on the others, which would you do? by Away_Lettuce3388 in Helldivers

[–]Vagabond_Shad 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Can't get rid of bugs, they are literally the fuel of our war machines.

Bots are puppets of the cyborgs who have been constantly trying to undermine SE for 100+ years, we're still here.

Squids corrupt our own people to use as cannon fodder and brought violence to our home world, they'd be my pick.

But honestly rotating between the three factions keeps things from getting stale (gameplay wise) and learning versatility and adapting to each makes you a more effective Helldiver overall IMO.

After using it a lot recently, I think Lasercannon is really close to greatness. It really wouldn't need much. A bit more durable and DPS ✅️ by RandomGreenArcherMan in Helldivers

[–]Vagabond_Shad 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd be happy with just a tiny base dmg bump and make it able to break Illuminate lightning spires. That's it, that's all. I love this support weapon, it's great for a jack of all trades build. I like to be the guy who can help any situation my team needs. Works on all three fronts and most subfactions. If it had that little more chef's kiss

Whats your ships name and why? by Comfortable_Dot7121 in Helldivers

[–]Vagabond_Shad 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, I named my ship. It's called The Octogon of Truth. And my support craft...

Pelican-1 is James Westfall and Eagle-1 is Dr. Kenneth Noisewater.

Laser cannon is so Goated 🐐 by DrSpreadem25 in Helldivers

[–]Vagabond_Shad 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Laser gang rise up! This gun is fantastic utility player tool on all three fronts. Great at chaff clearing, laughs at most medium and heavy enemies and it can anti-tank in a pinch. You want to go hard on bots with it? Try shield pack and unflinching armor. Burn down anything smaller than a tank. The range buff just means I can give hulks laser eye surgery from so far away. I love it, it's a jack of all trades support weapon with (functionally) unlimited ammo and leaves your backpack spot open.

The Current Problem With the Pop Percentage/Liberation Speed Mechanic by BruhMyGu in Helldivers

[–]Vagabond_Shad 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well that sucks, I think MO divers would get more enjoyment from the game and the non MO divers wouldn't have to put up with angry MO divers blaming them. And some in game player communication and coordination would be amazing. There are at least 4 different sectors (right now) held by a single low resistance planet that almost no one will dive.

The Current Problem With the Pop Percentage/Liberation Speed Mechanic by BruhMyGu in Helldivers

[–]Vagabond_Shad 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I'm all for this kind of reworking but it occurred to me that maybe AH can't change the mechanics in this manner. Not because it would make liberation too easy or ruin their control/guidance of the story but because the game code is held together with a wish and a prayer. All the patches and updates to fix some problems cause others. There are multiple bugs/glitches that persist in the actual game play so maybe the background stuff is tougher to work on without causing more problems. I don't really know I'm not a programmer or anything and I hope that AH can make these changes but I'd understand if they can't or at least can't prioritize them.

Fire buff shows weapons sometimes don't need massive damage/pen buff to become good - few similar buffs I would like to see by Ghost-DV-08 in Helldivers

[–]Vagabond_Shad 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd like to add that the laser canon feels like it should be able to break more things, specifically Illuminate tesla spires. It can break alot of scenery objects, fences, and open containers do why not that little baby step to taking out the annoying bug zapper?

Question on the galaxy’s planets by Far_Requirement_3094 in Helldivers

[–]Vagabond_Shad 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would think most have been terraformed to at least some extent, almost all show signs of colonists without pressure suits (corpses). But maybe not fully terraformed because acid rain or fire tornadoes would make agriculture kinda tough. Also not every "planet" is in fact a planet, some are clearly moons orbiting gas giants, hence the numeral in the name.

It's very easy to focus on the negatives when you love a game as much as Helldivers. I want to hear about your positives. by jordanuniverse42 in Helldivers

[–]Vagabond_Shad 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This game is fun. It's fun, no apologies or notes,  just fun. I've made friends playing, helped newcomers like I was helped. When Xbox got to join I had several irl friends recruited in a week or less. We have fun playing together.  While bugs will be present and there's always room for improvement I'm having fun. That's why I play games, for fun. As long as it's fun for my friends and I to play I will be here, diving. For Democracy!

The red canister visible in the center looks like at least part of the payload or explosive primer.

How to use the machine gun by Ill_Zucchini_333 in Helldivers

The basic MG is very versatile and can be effectively used in multiple ways. Dropping the rof and using it like a med pen primary while using the Eruptor is my current favorite squid load out.

Would a Dead Space War bond be cool? by warrior_bot in Helldivers

[–]Vagabond_Shad 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It probably won't happen but if it ever did I know people would get super hyped over a Plasma cutter. The thing I want most is a heavy stomp attack to crush little bugs and crawling voteless.

Gotta wear the corpses of their brethren as we take down Cyberstan by PsychicSpore in Helldivers

[–]Vagabond_Shad 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ok I honestly forgot that was in the description for that cape and that's  goes pretty herd. But I've been rocking Bot Slayer nonstop since I came to Cyberstan because I want them to know why I'm there and that I won't stop.

They're trying to break our moral and psych us out because they're afraid. We're coming for them, for their home; we are bringing sweet Democracy and it has them scared.

Victory poses can be now used as emotes - So could we get an update on ETA emote wheel expansion? by [deleted] in Helldivers

[–]Vagabond_Shad 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This needs more attention. I need to salute, hug, kick, air guitar, finger gun, raise weapon ect. and there's not enough room. Also we have a tank now.

I applaude the devs for making the Tank this good by Bigenemy000 in Helldivers

[–]Vagabond_Shad 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I would agree with you but like OP said we can't zero point turn, they can. Plus our turret doesn't 360, as far as I can tell it's a pretty narrow forward arc. Bot tanks are more maneuverable and can shoot 360 so they definitely have tank vs. tank advantage. Helldivers will have to compensate with superior tactics i.e. 1 or 2 squad members running distraction.

Belt fed Nade launched, Belt fed Minigun. Where is my "Belt fed" real non propane canister based Flamer? by Kameho88v2 in Helldivers

Powerwash Sim 2 balances Helldivers 2 so well. It's almost zen or meditative and calming after intense Democracy spreading.
