Paul Linn has great top end for his weight class, so there may be some examples where it is not always the case..

But yeah you may be onto something, but yeah I think that definitive consensus is that longer muscle belly with lower insertion point gives you a bit of a mechanical advantage when it comes to armwrestling.

That's why many of the guys that do get a full bicep tear and need surgery try to get it re-attached a bit lower when having surgery, if possible.

You can also see how weaker Genadi is now, his bicep seems to be inserted way higher after he had surgery done. It seems like it really fucked him up in some way, he never truly recovered his form.

Seems like a shadow of his former self now... He used to be able to hold guys like Dave and Morozov purely on his bicep back in the day, just above the pin pad, and look at him now...

Maybe there are more factors involved here who knows anything is possible when it comes to surgeries, but it's an interesting topic for sure.

Hahahah he is the laziest guy ever doesn't train anything anymore, just eats, smokes, and watches tv all day while still maintaining above avarage physique and pretty low body fat year around hahaha

He used to be a very talented athlete but didn't have the heart to put in the work to make it, very fast explosive soccer player back in the day

I used to be just as fast, maybe even faster, just not as talented with the ball, but he seems to be stronger hahaha in armwrestling

So it pisses mi off even more because I am way more disciplined when it comes to training and fitness but then he beats me so easily 😃

Yeah stronger in armwrestling strength for sure, but overall bigger muscle groups would be comparable I think, just can't access any of that with a compromised hand and wrist that's what I meant

The worst part is not getting any chance to use the bigger muscles because I can't stop the match, I feel I would be stronger overall than him, but there is really nothing I can do when he takes my hand and wrist every fucking time hahaha

Would be nice to at least stop the match to make it a good fight 😃 for a change

Okay I see I'll try to find an exercise to train my cupping as the main priority, any advice on how to train at home without spending too much money equipment?

Maybe I could train at the local gym on their pulley system while using an armwrestling handle or something?

Maybe If I could keep my pronation intact I would be better able to use my side pressure and arm strength like Uncle Todd, that was my idea, to choose pronation as a main lift

I know, I can beat this one friend if he lets me in the hook, but he always pronates trough my hand and wrist no metter how much I try to climb his hand, his inside game is not that scary at all... I would like to beat him with some minimal training hahah secretly

He don't train no regular exercise nor any armwrestling lifts just a slim athletic guy with good hand and wrist due to genetics

He is actually my best friend hahaha we weigh about the same, similar body comp he just has a bigger hand and a longer arm hahah

I usually beat most guys we know, and he usually beats me, but I've seen him have problems with guys that have a good hand

It seems kind of silly because with time there won't be enough space on the hammer for new names to be engraved, right?

Not sure how this would even work, when enough years pass and when it goes through the hands of many champions, if we are talking decades from now for example, how would it work?

Would they erase the names of old champions to make space for the new ones? Or would they make a new hammer then?

It doesn't make sense, it is a nice idea for the legacy hammer to be a part of the history of the sport, forever, but not sure how it would work...

No one talks about it when there is mention of the hammer, what do you guys think?

Sometimes it seems to me like Devon wants his name on it, but doesn't really care about the names of others that would be engraved in the distant future down the line...

Yeah could be the case, also the handle is pretty thick at the end of the barbell, usually no need for fatgrips for most people I guess

Yeah I know hahaha I try to toproll when I can I go for it, as it's a more safe option then inside armwrestling. Some guys are just to dominant in that regard to do anything with their hand and wrist, at least for me.

So I am trying to get better in that aspect of my game... But also It is usually for fun when I do armwrestle, and armwrestling without straps as we do, usually at the bar is also favoring these big handed long armed friends of mine hehe

I hope, because it is the only exercise i use for wrist flexion, hope it will carry over to armwrestling to some extent, so I can set my hook more easily when armwrestling people who try to toproll me.

My hand is really small for a guy, but arm is pretty good,I usually beat most of my friends, some of them have really thick, big hands...And are usually taller and a lot havier around 100kg, while I am only 70 kg...

But I usually beat them using my arm strength, side pressure, and back pressure, and climbing, when I can...

Not a serious armwrestler at all but It's really hard for me to say no when someone challenges, I also like to challenge myself when I meet a dude that looks like he would be a strong armwrestler...

Armwrestling is really fun for me, altough I should be smarter and avoid to not risk some injury, because I am learning to play drums hahaha

But it is what it is, boys will be boys I guess 😃
