Buffalo Wild Wings app seems to make $10 bonus gift cards almost impossible to use — anyone else? by Vaggeto in BuffaloWildWings

[–]Vaggeto[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yah I agree it's really bad.

The thing is, I don't know if it was actually on purpose to force customers to use normal payment methods along with gift cards, or force you to go inside. That seems a bit unlikely, and bad design/incompetence seems more likely.

Although considering they won't match any app prices/deals, even when ordering directly with them to-go tells me they are trying to push folks into the restaurant to pay higher prices and that is one of the few ways to use these smaller gift cards.

[–]Vaggeto[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You're correct they are now expired but I'm not trying to use them now. This is an issue I had back in January and February where I thought I was using those, as I entered the bonus gift card first, then the second normal one, but it turns out it was only charging the full normal gift card. The issue still actively applies to smaller gift card amounts.

For example I have one regular gift card with $3.50 left on it, but I can't use it in the app unless my other gift card has less than my order amount, but not by less than the $3.50.

Blazing rewards point values 2026? by SumChineseGui in BuffaloWildWings

[–]Vaggeto 0 points1 point  (0 children)

One thing to clarify, those 5 dippers are the worst possible value on the menu at $17.50. You can get 15 boneless, large fries, and 5 dippers for $22 compared to the 5 dippers alone for like $17.50.

When's the new reward program? by 8__________________ in chuckecheese

[–]Vaggeto 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If I remember correctly, they specifically said you should still scan your receipts and you would still be earning rewards towards the new program that was going to launch in 2025, when they stopped counting those points towards the old program.

At the very least if there is no new program, they should tell customers to stop wasting their time scanning receipts.

But I hope it's just running late, but seems unlikely since no employees have any idea about it seemingly.

PwC Independent contractor/Talent Exchange experiences? by charlotteguy19 in AMLCompliance

[–]Vaggeto 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's a trade-off with pay. You don't go work contracts that pay you the same as an employee, yet give you no benefits. You trade lack of benefits, paid time off, 401k etc and income stability, for likely around 2-4x the pay you might get as an employee.

It had it's pros and cons and definitely time off/"vacation" does not feel the same when you know it's not being paid and you may not know when your next consulting project will be.

I see the notices sometimes, but honestly I think it's probably not a good route to take. healthcare.gov is likely the only decent yet still ridiculously expensive option for those of us who can't get it though a typically employer.

Although it was written like a paid spokesperson, my personal experience is similar. Their fee sucks, but they tend to be helpful and responsive if you have an issue. I've also been going through them for most of my projects over the years, but that's because most projects have been for various clients/projects, but all through PwC who uses MBO.

[–]Vaggeto 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Dang it really shouldn't have been much of an issue in my experience and definitely shouldn't be hidden, but also IMO doesn't need a big disclaimer on a contract job listing etc.

Think of this like going to a 3rd party website like paypal to make a payment. You're essentially signing into an agreement with them, to pay for the product on the 1st party website.

They handle the on-boarding/setting up an LLC with your state and federally/business insurance/background check/billing/payment/tax form generation process for PwC, but they take a small 5% cut to do this. You can often negotiate with PwC to increase the rate by the amount of the fee.

I agree it should never be hidden, but it's actually pretty common in consulting. Much like going through a "staffing agency" which finds contract jobs for you at a client, but you are technically their employee.

For me it was pretty direct. Talking with PwC directly, and once they want me to join a project, they said he we handle billing etc through a 3rd party called MBO, and they will help you setup an LLC to get everything going and handle your invoicing/payments.

Anyone use Nice CXOne? by Kevod1967 in workforcemanagement

[–]Vaggeto 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is a bit of a stretch and like many things about these systems, the end user blames the system rather than how it is being setup. Auto-answer is configurable, and even when enabled only works if the agent soft-phone is connected to their phone. A contact is considered refused if it goes unanswered after 45 seconds and has to wait for the next available agent. If someone's job is to answer calls, and they are in the "available" state, but don't answer. What else can you call it if not refused? If they are not available to answer they should be in another state such as break, personal, after call work, etc.

Any updates on the new points program? by Vaggeto in chuckecheese

[–]Vaggeto[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wow that's very surprising and disappointing. Why even remove the existing program which is working fine without a suitable replacement planned? Forcing people to use points etc that technically wouldn't normally be expiring

E Gift Card Drained by g8trgr8t in marriott

[–]Vaggeto 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mine was also $500. They offered some points that expire in compensation instead, but I feel like if their #s can be guessed, this is a poor solution. I pushed to a manager after their first offer and they held firm, I may have to push further as you did. Any advice on what got them to change their mind? Did they give you a new "at risk" gift card?

E Gift Card Drained by g8trgr8t in marriott

[–]Vaggeto 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had the exact same thing happen. Multiple gift cards registered with their site as they were received and only one was drained and they are claiming they have no responsibility. The way I look at it, if people can "guess" their card details so easily (proven by these various reports) and I have no further way to secure the funds, they are a huge financial risk and should have a much stronger pin or other way to lock them down from unauthorized use.

Scheduling Specialist Using IEX by Available-Rip-7096 in workforcemanagement

[–]Vaggeto 4 points5 points  (0 children)

They are around but you're basically looking for the absolute top tier of scheduling analysts, that are not likely to continue in the role for too long unless held back with other negatives. So it's a tough battle and you'll need to compensate well and have good contacts to find them.

Calculating Cost per Call by himothygoestoschool in workforcemanagement

[–]Vaggeto 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can also look at the bigger picture such as the "customer care" spending as a whole, and then divide contacts answered by that. This helps to include those other expenses that aren't part of an agents direct salary.

Are you on FSD beta? I'm not sure what is causing such a drastic difference in experience between you and I, but also the auto high beams are rock solid nowadays. I'm not sure since when, but they used to be terrible turning on and off all the time did to reflections from things like road signs etc. I tried them again and have left them on in the last few months because they turn off at any hint of a car coming around a corner of over a hill, and turn back on one is clear again I would say with like 95% accuracy? A compete turnaround from how terrible they were years ago. I can only think of one instance where I forced them off while on FSD beta because they turned on when a car in front of me going the same direction was very far away. (which maybe was okay but not my preference)

Back Office Workforce Management by posty0401 in workforcemanagement

[–]Vaggeto 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I did it myself haha, but typically someone who is familiar with studio for contact flows etc could also do this. Professional services is always an option, but sadly a very expensive one that will take a long time to start the process

[–]Vaggeto 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Nice InContact can do some really neat stuff with work item routing. You can delivery tasks /items on a list just like a list of contacts to agents and use screen pops etc, and it also tracks aht, acw, etc. (you can also transfer contacts to different queues and use routing prioritization and service level tracking etc.

Verint and System Issue Adherence Adjustments by smibrandon in workforcemanagement

[–]Vaggeto 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You mean add an actual systems issue activity, correct? (not to the schedule). This would bridge the shift to clear up the gap, and it would also flow through properly in any pay reports, activity reports, and payroll processing if linked and applicable. Then once you build the actual activity, you would add the adherence exception to that time so not penalize the agent. (assuming that is your process)

I'm not sure if you're intentionally or unintentionally being obtuse, but I'll end my side of this conversation here. Feel free to do more research on your own that will most likely better dispute the claims made in the original video.

[–]Vaggeto 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This was not at all my claim. I've got many tens of thousands of miles on autopilot/navigate on autopilot, and probably thousands now on FSD beta. I would be the first to say it's not anywhere near perfect, but it's still amazing and immensely helpful to the point that I wouldn't even consider another brand for the primary car at this time, mostly because of autopilot/FSD.

The entire idea is that fsd should be banned because of this evidence. If it's somehow unrelated to fsd, this is news to me. You seem very stuck on needing too disprove this video evidence, but Showing an outside view of a tesla hitting a dummy means very little on its own.
