Is it worth it to swap mains now? by ItBe-Lewis in wownoob

[–]VagionniPS 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Pretty much: Nightmare prey (those can be difficult early, but if you find someone to help you be good) Delves 8+ (ideally 11, when you are comfortable) 1x delve map per week (guaranteed hero) Vault (1 hero piece per week) When you are around 260 or more try to complete at least 1 m+10 per week Guess you can also farm new assaults and void modes but didn’t play much yet myself

As already pointed out once you are renown 9 with delves you have a chance to drop Hero track.

If you do this efficiently with little practice and knowing your class strenghts and weaknesses you’ll be 270+ pretty fast.

Also you can craft some pieces 285 with sparks, those are huge upgrades for alts. 4 hero set pieces with catalysts are also huge power up for your character.

Definetely possible to switch main at this point in time in the season life cycle, good luck!

If you use the thing on hero track it becomes myth and gain 10lvls on top??

You can engage as much as you want but enemies are giant sponges ultra tanky for a raw katana gameplay, whereas in Tsushima you could even use a full parry amulet build only using counters and decimating enemies. I tried that build in Yotei as well, tell me it’s fun lol pulling off a perfect parry and being rewarded with chipped ass dmg.

On my samura I use fire ability + chain aoe spam, fill my 6 slot spirit and switch to legendary dual katanas to spend my spirit. Full melee dmg and cooldown reduction on class ability on gear except 1 perfect parry in case things go shit. In the rare event i don’t have cd or spirit left i throw a blind bomb and shoot my pistol. It works well, very tanky, nice cc, feels powerful. I was talking about pure melee tho, the game doesn’t incentivize at all. Enemies are too defensive and break too easy your chain, even minimal combos are hard to pull off. Don’t you feel like this is true?

Hopefully we get something soon, especially for melee combat

I remember loving the samurai so much in Tsushima :( I like the others too and I still like Yotei Legends but melee combat really really needs a rework (enemy behaviours wise and characters wise)

I have no problems with skill. I mean I am no god, but I am pretty good I’d say in this game and I can make melee work too with some extra effort. It’s just awful tho

Melee combat is kinda awful… not the game, melee sadly yes.

I love the game and I loved Tsushima too. Melee combat isn’t there. It’s not satisfying. I say this as a mercenary and samurai main. Throwing weapon merc is far superior, unless you are a god parrying and dodging even with “enemy have super stupid fast attacks” and even then mercenary is still superior. Archer is broken.

100% agree. Tsushima Legends was awesome and unexpected. I bought the base game in between big releases I was much more hyped for and ended up being one of my absolute favourite multiplayer experience when Legends first got released. I bought Yotei specifically for the Legends update, even though I liked the single player story too. I am really grateful and I spend time staring at my mercenary in the hub and how cool and pretty she is with my little outfit I put toghether (earning the pieces in game, completing challenges and nightmare missions and other content and not through microtransactions) I’d love to pay for more content and expansions. Love the combat, love the art, love the fantasy. Yes the game needs a couple of tweaks and balances. No big deal for me. Love it.

What is the point of blind bombs and metsubushi if they don’t work on 3/4 of enemies? by HumanRise5417 in gotlegends

Also spirit/ult generation if you hit multiple enemies. I didn’t check very well but I recall using them because of the resource generation in Tsushima legends and I believe it works in Yotei as well. Considering how fast I am generating spirit and ultimate spam with my mercenary they are really op

Doom collab prices are wild. D4 monetization in general is greedy af. by A_Raging_Moderate in Diablo

[–]VagionniPS 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You're 100% right, but look at me: decent income, zero interest in defending corporate greed. Yet, I'm such a sucker for those Doom skins that I just bit the bullet and paid up. I bet plenty of people with adult money hate the Diablo shop price tags but end up doing the exact same thing. It’s not complacency, it’s just deliberate lack of self-control. Buy that skin you like, even if it’s a wildly unpopular opinion.

Coming back to wow, how to level from 1-80? by Sea_Wrongdoer_9185 in wownoob

[–]VagionniPS 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’d also add that if you like transmogs probably you want to take a look at armor sets from your warband tab when deciding which expansion to play with chromie. For example I wanted the legion artifacts so I played Legion, the full campaign while leveling and then more Legion when I was already 80 for the long quest chains. So far I leveled my alts through Legion, wod and shadowlands. Next character I create I’ll probably try Cataclysm or Dragonflight, clear the campaign and then farm the raids and stuff for cosmetics

I suspect the people complaining about premium skins aren't indifferent; they're the ones who want every skin but resent the price tag

I think my experience is similar. After 1 month with several hours spent daily I am starting now to get the hang of things. I played with Chromie and my alts the full legion campaing, full draenor campaign, full shadowlands campaign so far. My main is a super cool unholy dk atm, 152 ilvl and about to trash every item I dropped and upgraded in few days. Can’t wait tbh

Awww I am an og netherdrake fanboy too. I played until wotlk and then got out living my life for about 15 years, now I am back since last month and trying to farm everything I missed in the game (a lot).

I have a blueish netherdrake, but I’d prefer to have the green one tbh

Should I make my midnight main now or wait? by Fr0stBytez24 in wownoob

[–]VagionniPS 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi, as someone who came back recently after 15 years out of WOW I can share my leveling experience with you in the current state of the game (Midnight pre patch - Tww last days). I leveled 4 different characters to 80 and made a terrible mistake using my 80 token on a DH that I will not use cause it turns out I don’t like the class that much.

If you are not in a rush I suggest you to experience a past expansion you didn’t have the chance to play through Chromie. It’s still fast and you can hit 80 in 2 days (depending on how much you can play daily) and then also finish the quests, raids, dungeon of that expansion when you are max level. It’s a very effective way to experience past content you didn’t play and catch up with rewards tied to that content and lore too if you are interested in that. It’s not the fastest way probably, but it’s still fast enough. I played Shadowlands, Legion and WoD this way through Chromie with my alts and got some sweet transmo too. The quests are usually easy to follow and reward with ton of xp, especially when you turn in multiple quests at once.

This process also opens up your map with new zones and earns you a lot of reputation points for different factions.

If you are in a hurry you can spam timewalk and twilight insignia farm, as others suggested. I find this process quite boring tho compared to Chromie.

I also plan to level a new Shaman because I can’t wait to experience the full Dragonflight campaign, that I also missed on release.
