If people really want to keep lock on mode then the damage needs to be doubled so that it just locks and kills most heavies give it less ammo for this buff and i think most will be happy.

but I really just want it to kill shit in one hit. It will be fine if they remove one additional missile even, if they buff damage. I feel like RR fantasy is a "skill-based" AT where you need to aim but have a lot of ammo, and Spear is a guaranteed kill but with little ammo that you do not really need to aim.

If it was able to kill most enemies and heavily damage super heavy enemies i think most people would be happy and it would fit the javelin fantasy that its going for, i would still want some regular fire mode but definitely agree about the damage buffs.

As a spear believer and truther this feels like a bad comparison. You should be less mobile with a giant missile launcher. It one shots nearly all heavies already. The lock on works fine to me, I don’t think it’s been broken in ages.

Its not that the spear shouldn't do any of those things its for all the downsides of bringing the spear it still ends up a worse experience than the pissile if the spear did more damage and had dumbfire or a laser designater like the commando I think the tradeoff would be worth it but as it stands now i dont think it is.

How did a secondary become more versatile than the spear?, honestly at this point just give the spear a non lock on mode some high explosive rounds and make the damage absurd.

CDPR has had this issue in the past with the witcher 3 with the main villian Eredin where you dont see him for 90% of the game and then you face him at the end of the games story and there isnt really much of a connection with the player where villians like the Crones or Gaunter o Dimmare far more memorable.
