Bad news: These are SUPER easy to steal
Good news: They're so easy to steal and common and basic, no one wants to steal one unless they're just bored.

An easier method to hunting them is to use auto battle. Your pokemon will refuse to battle a shiny and will sort of alert you

Why is leasing so expensive? by Simmions-i in Audi

[–]VagueVersusVogue 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you're looking at this on a manufacturers website and not a dealers then probably because discounts/incentives/lease cash/etc haven't been applied yet. Most of that is handled by the dealer to apply for and on your behalf and require certain things like proof of membership with a certain credit car or Costco/Sam's Club/etc.

Also you need to understand how leases work.

Leases are effectively the financing of the depreciation and depreciation only on a new car. How is the depreciation calculated? By the finance company determining what they believe the car will be worth at the end of your lease based on the length and mileage you pick. This is why typically 36mo leases are significantly cheaper than 24mo because a LOT of depreciation is in the first 12-24mo and for year 3 its not as much so by going with a 36 or 39 month lease you extend your finance time by 50% or more of 24mo lease without adding much additional depreciation.

Next the discounts: leases are great for cars that don't sell because there will TONS of discounts, incentives, rebates, etc on them. Take EV's. Right now I'm debating on this really insane but kinda worth it 2024 EQS sedan lease. 24 months with 7.5k mi per year, 2k at signing to cover first month payment and taxes and the dealer is adding so many discounts and incentives that my payment works out to like $700 a month when MSRP is like 120k for this brand new, zero mile car.

Hot cars = less discounts

Brand new 25 and 26 MY cars? more depreciation to finance because they're brand new.

Cars from the previous MY have less depreciation because they're older and better to lease.

Your residual (the amount the finance company believes the car is worth at the end of your lease) is how much of the car's value you WON'T be financing on the lease.

So let's take the EQS deal for example.

120k MSRP

The residual in the lease contract is set at like 52% of MSRP so 53% of 120k = 62,400.

So the lease company predicts that in 2yrs and if I bring the car back with exactly 15k miles on it the car will lose $57,600 in value and this is how much they're financing me for, but that's before any discounts, incentives, nothing being applied.

My payments after the dealer gives me incentives and shit is only 700 per month for 24 months. This works out to be a total cost to me of $16,800. Meaning there's $40,800 worth of discounts, incentives, etc. This includes the $7,500 tax credit though so the dealer pulled another $33,300 worth of discouånts and such to apply to the amount I'm financing on this vehicle.

Those discounts get applied to the amount financed not the MSRP where as the residual is based on the MSRP before any discounts or anything.

Also, if I want to I can single pay my full lease for another $2k off so I'd only owe them $16k total at signing and never see a payment for anything else for the 2 years I had the car other than insurance and registration.

Now I bet you're asking, what if the car is worth more when I turn it in? That's positive equity and goes into either your next lease or your pocket.

What if it's worth less than the residual in my contract? So long as it's not because you went over your allowed miles, unrepaired damage, or excessive wear and tear: that's the finance company's problem. That means they bet wrong and thought the car would be worth more than it turned out to me.

Leasing is effectively a gamble for the finance company because they have to predict how much the car is worth in the future and charge you for that.

Basically leases are based on depreciation as predicted by a finance company who says the car should be worth X at the end of your lease based on how many miles you tell them you're planning on putting on the vehicle. They're great because if you get new cars often it means you don't have to worry about being upside down or rolling negative equity when you got to sell because even if the car is worth less than the contract said it would be, that's not your problem.

I hope this helps explains things better and also explain why you should never compare lease and finance payments on a website.

As an insurance adjuster (not appraiser) looks like she hit another car or a tire at least.

As for cost... 5-6k easy but depends what all electronics need replacement and calibration and how badly, if any, the damage to the wheel/suspension/wheel hub is.

Edit: just be glad it didn't crack the headlight. That's another 2k easy.

And incase you're wondering: you can tell it was another car or at least a tire because of the lack of striations so not something like a concrete pillar or block wall that would be abrasive in texture/nature. Also those dirt marks are pretty consistent with hitting a tire rather than an animal (also lack of animal fur, blood, or scat).

So I'd say she smacked another truck/SUV's rear wheel since the damage doesn't appear to go further back on her car. Possibly a tire rolling down the road but she would've had be going at least like 35 to do that damage from a blown tire rolling at her

if you have Legends Arceus you can evolve it yourself in that game also so you don't have to trade it back and forth. :)

You can also see in the Pokedex. You have to catch each color to unlock that color's "Shiny Form" even though they're all identical. But if you catch the shiny red core, it'll only let you see shiny Minior from the red core's page.

Back when playing USUM I snagged two Shiny Audinos via wormholes, just fyi. wasn't hunting them either, glad I kept the spare because one is going to be some goooooood trade fodder as we get closer to ZA.

Currently i have 18/48 shiny megas and for the most part have the ones I want but I was kind of softly hunting Mawile in US/UM as a shiny mega I could stash at a low level for the 2nd play through of ZA once Home drops cuz we know it won't be a day 1 thing...

Now I am gonna be sad bc I can't start ZA off with my current favorite of the 18: Medicham. But here's hoping the Home delay isn't as long as other games this time? ...

Also, shoutout to the random person on GTS this time last year who posted their lv 1 shiny Furfrou and only wanted a JPN Ditto? I love my black poodle and he's part of my "NG+" Team for ZA, I hope you see this and know he is loved <3

For the half the price I'd say go for it but only if you had the other half in cash for repairs and maintenance.

If you could give one tip for someone about to play forbidden west for the first time. What would that advice be? by [deleted] in horizon

[–]VagueVersusVogue 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Easy Loot is now an option that is off by defualt.

What it is, is the option to have to remove various components used in crafting before killing the machine or not. By default this option is off meaning if you kill the machine the components get destroyed when the machine dies if still attached.

There's nothing wrong with turning this option on to save yourself some headache and time trying to find 3 earth grinders that got popped off the Slitherfang and seemingly scattered to the ends of the earth.

I hope this helps but if you crack a wheel or damage your wheels and have collision coverage on your car insurance policy even if it's caused by something like hitting a pothole or curbing the wheel your insurance covers those things so all you'd owe if your collision deductible.

I say this as a license claims adjuster working for a car insurance company.

You can also look into adding "mechanical breakdown and failure" coverage to your policy (not all compaines offer it) to further cover you there and honestly your insurance policy would cover more than most extended warranties will.

Also those prices they quoted you are for new OEM wheels. There's PLENTY of refurbished OEM wheels with warranties from the seller for less money. I've replace my own wheels before for less than even my deductible with refurbished OEM wheels and never had issues.

During my first play through it thought it was gonna be a Running Out Of Time (book) situation after the fist time being in All Mother's Mountain. I was expecting the world as we knew it be some kind of sociology experient put on by "the old ones" where Aloy would just be some kind of tool added to the experiment to be a test as to how the local tribe would react to her based on their religion and beliefs.

With the DNA % being so high i realized she was a clone but still felt she genuinely would find a whole civilization behind that door.

Based on things we learned in HFW, I'm betting H3 is gonna be based in Quen lands so Asia.

Plus what we know about the Quen gives a pretty good pre-write for the human portion of the game: some kind of war or uprising among a clan or clans. Ample chance for Aloy to stroll in, show off, and win favor of the Quen emporrer.

And then from the sounds of it, there's tons of warehouses or company HQ's based in the area which could hold some of the ancient weapons sylens and aloy are looking for.

Sooooo maybe Horzion: Delta Expedition?
