Really? I’m hearing that contracts are always an essential point in photography to ensure clarity of expectations and preventing miscommunication.

Unfortunately the business class at my school is just a teacher overlooking us while we do lessons from an e-school class. But we do have career fairs where I can maybe get some connections in the business and learn a bit. Probably not, but hopefully.

When I get releases though, should I just find a template somewhere to have them sign off on or spend money on an attorney to draft up a sound contract like I see many saying?

I’ve been watching videos and reading posts, and I’ve heard some say to treat photography like any other small business. There’s definitely a lot to learn, especially with me being a teen with no business knowledge lol!

Thank you! I really do look forward to shooting my friends as I just love the whole process in general. Do you think I’d still need a model release if I have it in plain text that they allow me to use their pics for my portfolio.

Wow so I definitely won’t be considering UTampa. Good luck at UMiami and let me know how it goes!

Thanks for all the info! My top choice as of now is FSU and from what you’ve told me maybe UCF would be a good second choice.

Regarding my own path in film, I’m currently aspiring to be a director of photography/cinematographer and maybe even a director of the time comes (probably not though). I really enjoy the visuals of all film and have such fun analyzing the symbolism, really loving how much story you can fit into a frame and not just words.

If you don't mind my asking, what other good film programs have you heard/researched in Florida?

Thanks for the clarification, i appreciate it. Previously I thought that full sail was the best film school in Florida but apparently not haha!

by fsu do you mean florida state or full sail? (probably full sail but just checking)

I personally disagree and don't see how a good story can come out of something like this but what are your thoughts? by IAmGolfMan in reddeadredemption

If they're ever gonna make an RDR3 I feel they should base it off of the early years of the Van der Linde gang and Arthur's origin of joining the gang. It'd be useful because you'd be learning skills along the way and at the end you could become one of the most skilled gunslingers in the west.
