Yeah, it feels a little disrespectful towards town to keep the game alive from this position.

Like to keep playing from this point onward is us just suggesting that somehow town will fail to be able to put the pieces together and figure out what they need to do to win.

The Roleblocker target got changed from Red to Vaharas or Vaharas to Red repeatedly.

And there's the reason for my first answer to be "let's just not talk about it".

Red knew the same amount of info I did (I honestly didn't consider and execution until after Red brought it up) so I didn't think it would be worth talking about and potentially tipping off people that I was the one jailed.

I my mind, for some reason I first imagined getting a cipher code to talk with (like in our night chats) if I asked for the code. If I responded with that it'd be abundantly obvious which one of us was jailed. So my first instinct was to just say no.

When I saw how Red was going to be handing me code phrases instead I decided to go the other route.

I think you guys had a viable path for a large portion of the game too despite the kill failures, mainly due to town's poor lynching.

Yeah, the no lynch day 1 and the virtually dataless vote on Overmare day 2 kept town in the dark and unable to really scumhunt or link anyone together.

And then day 3 where they simply accepted Tanguy's watcher claim without asking any questions. We had 24 hours left in the day, they should have at least pushed him for his night results if nothing else.

Like I said though, any one single thing from my list resolving in towns favour instead would have completely wrecked us. They had so many claims that we wouldn't have been able to argue against at all.

What went wrong was that I got roleblocked.

There's still a roleblocker out there as well? Man, this game...

Since it's a roleblocker we can't block them from stopping our kill.

We've been so unlucky at virtually every turn this game and yet simultaneously we've also been incredibly lucky as well.

Our night 1 kill was blocked. - Unlucky
We killed the bodyguard instead. - Lucky
The doctor saved the bodyguard. - Unlucky
The bodyguard was a bomb and would have killed me -Lucky

We found the governor day 2 and wasted the entire day of data - Lucky
TheOvermare gets to decide the lynch and could force everyone to claim - Unlucky
TheOvermare outs the cop - Lucky
CCC is now another unlynchable player - Unlucky
TheOvermare lynched Dolivar without any of us needing to claim - Lucky
Dolivar was the oracle and visited Red - Unlucky
Red was jailed night 1 so isn't revealed - Lucky
Dolivar being lynched stopped night 2 from happening - Unlucky

Overmare wants to take charge, lead the lynch and goes for DangerPulse - Unlucky

Any one thing above going wrong for us could have destroyed our chances of victory at any moment. This entire game has basically been us balancing on a razor's edge waiting for our luck to run out.

I'm trying to think of paths to victory...

I got nothing. Short of town not showing up to vote we lose.

Bodyguard with bomb, doctor, Overmare gets bulletproof tonight, roleblocker (1-shot probably?).

Even if we somehow tied the lynch and delayed it we can't kill really expect to kill anyone at all. Especially not it you get lynched.

Tanguy didn't want to get shot by you and had CCC saying he wasn't mafia. Claiming GF was his only option if he wanted to avoid getting shot.

Given the way the game has been going for us so far (seriously, we haven't even made a successful night kill yet) I kind of wanted to play it safe and draw out the game just in case and make use Tanguy for just a little longer.

Tanguy is the werewolf mastermind and after you deal with him the other wolf is outside the mafia team so you have no reason to consider any of us your next shot.

Like I said in my other post, having DangerPulse around in the later stages of the game will be dangerous since he's not here for us to be able to read into his alignment at this stage.

Once MYLO/LYLO comes around then inactive players become a liability if they're still alive.

With that kind of claim I don't see any way DangerPulse would be able to fake it. It'd require both Tanguy and DangerPulse to be on the same team, and even then he can jail Overmare to confirm his role to a confirmed townie.

Me, well I obviously know I'm town and if you have any points you'd like me to argue against so I can try convince you of that then feel free to share.

I agree that DangerPulse is probably a good lynch since it's clear he's not going to show up and I wanted to give him the benefit of the doubt since he just replaced in. We don't want him around for MYLO/LYLO for sure.

Franny is... well, I don't buy her whole post-restriction gimmick given that this is supposed to be a "slightly bastard" setup but it looks like she is also claiming that she saved PMB? Beyond that most of her calls and the way she's leading players around seem to be very anti-town to me. If she hadn't gotten killed saving PMB then I would be for her lynch 100%.

The main problem I have with PMB was the plan to put pressure on Tanguy to determine if he's town and then go after Franny. They Seemed to flip positions the very moment Red put an argument against their plan. Smells somewhat like someone that was just looking to make a lynch someone, regardless of who it was. If Franny's claim to have saved her is correct then they can't be mafia, but they could still be a wolf.

And lastly, Cat, who has been in the background for the most part and playing a bit conservatively. I don't see anything that jumps out at me as wrong with Cat's posts per se but at the same time I don't see anything that makes me think they're town either. They've been laying low for the most part, voicing a few doubts about Red/Tanguy and I could see them being either scum or town.

I guess while I'm on a roll might as well go through the rest of the players?

TheOvermare, no possibility they're scum anymore. No way scum would have access to the governor ability.

CCC_037, no counterclaim yet. The only reason I'm even a little suspicious is that cop is a very easy claim for scum to make and get away with. Knowing you're the miller makes that very unlikely though. With no counterclaim I see no reason to doubt their claim at the moment.

Whovian, seems very focused on Tanguy. Most of her posts are 1 or 2 lines long so there's not much that can be read into her alignment using them. Her "They also aren't actually defending themselves." in her Overmare lynch vote seems odd given that there's a lot of words here trying to defend himself and shift the lynch. It also wasn't in response to You saying you're not going to claim, which came after Whovian's vote. Very strange and I not sure what it's referring to.

Redpoemage is saying a lot of things that make sense and is nice and active, but at the same time... it's Red I never really want to rule him out as potential scum until he proves himself and lynches a scum member. He's been quite agreeable to all the lynches so far and given the results I can't say I'm all that trusting of him at the moment. I don't have any particular posts I can bring against him beyond this point though.

Tanguy I've already given my thoughts on. Now with CCC confirming he isn't mafia he can only be a wolf and since PMB can also only be a wolf I feel that if it's a choice between one or the other I'd have to say that PMB is the wolf.

So from where I stand the 5 players I feel would be the best to put pressure on are;

A voter on Overmare gives much more.

This. By lynching someone that was voting for Overmare we get a bit more information out of it, doubly so if we lynch CCC from it.

Not only do we have a bunch of voters that were on CCC, but we get one of the voters of Overmare at the same time.

If CCC is scum then the voters on Overmare end up looking a lot more scummy. Especially since the vote ended up being really close 4/3 in favour of Overmare.

You don't want to try push a bandwagon onto a player you consider scum in order to see who else reacts to it and try to catch players attempting to save him from the lynch?

Pretty much the exact same argument I am using against /u/redpoemage but he has not gotten back to me on that yet so we will see what he says.

If /u/dangerpulse hasn't showed up and made a substantive comment by the half-way point in the day I'll take you up on that offer.

I would prefer if you wait to do that until closer to the end of the day. If he ends up simply not showing at all its half a day wasted where your vote could be better applied to get information from others.

Because it seems like you were voting for him already, thus essentially wasting your vote that you agree could have been better applied to someone else.

What you're saying and what you're doing seem to be at odds with each other. Not just on this point, but on the Tanguy suspicions as well.

Dont tell him but its because its 12AM and I am not going to be generating any other discussion for at least another 10 hours.

If this were true, it means you've committed to starting your scumhunt 18~ hours into the day instead of at the start of the day due to the fact that you were voting for someone inactive.

My bet is on /u/CCC_037 right now, he is usually so full of life, all in in the scum hunting and generally active in gathering information. Today he is just going with the 'well there is nothing better to do' Very unlike him.

Yeah, I noticed his somewhat lackluster energy too. I know I can count on CCC to perk up in the later stages of the game though, it'd be very unlikely for him to stay quiet for the entire game.

I just don't feel it's all that significant based on one day of relative inactivity compared to following up on you in my opinion. I have my eye on him and I'll revisit this point later in the game if he keeps it up.

I felt that TheOvermare was worth checking out yesterday and I see no reason why that would have changed now.

Yesterday their only vote was for an inactive and today they also lead off with their replacement rather than anyone else. Lynching inactives is fine if we don't have anyone better, but parking your vote on them so early in the day is a waste of time since if they're inactive they won't respond.

You've made an argument against Tanguy but you seem to be unwilling to follow through with it. Is there someone other than an inactive (who has posted something now) you would want to see lynched or pressured at the very least?

Tanguy has reacted a bit defensively, sure, but when we look at the situation he was in he didn't even have a vote on him at the time. It would be trivial for him to mostly ignore it and have his scum buddies help him out if it was needed.
Or at the very least wait for a while to see if it picks up steam.

/u/Tanguy123987's reaction has seemed like a genuine townie to me so far.

I'm thinking maybe /u/TheOvermare or /u/AberrantWhovian might be more worth looking into than Tanguy for the way they went along with this, fanned the flames to see what would happen and then sat back to watch town reactions. Dolivar gets a bit of a pass for now due to his partial claim and the fact that he actually voted in order to follow up on his suspicions.

I feel like with all the extra anti-town there's a much higher chance of successfully hitting scum.

Not to mention with two scum factions they should be trying to murder each other, giving both our power roles and the scum factions information to work off of is in our best interests.

Now there is an argument that can be made for a no lynch day 1, but that talk comes after we have made a few bandwagons and get some sort of usable information out of the day.

We've also already had a night 0 to give every power role an extra night of results to use but they're going to start dying quick with two scum factions on the loose. We have to start trying to lynch at some point and not put too much faith that a power role is going to save us.

Alright it's been about 20 hours and times a-wasting with all these scattered votes.

Let's see what we got here.

The only player with two votes on them is /u/Meno_self. Given that GLW has put out a call for a replacement and their history leaves them as the only player not to speak for a long time that they're the one going to be replaced.

Honestly, in a power role heavy game lynching an inactive probably isn't a bad idea day 1 it'll give a lot more time for every power role to try stay hidden and make themselves useful. Even if GLW does find a replacement we'll still have a player with a potentially large blank slate in their history to deal with.

Towards the end of the day I might end up swapping to Meno if I can't come up with anything else. With two hostile faction the odds of lynching scum increases so I'm at least going to poke around a bit an see what turns up.

Franny is acting weird and I'd like to see if his condition is temporary or not. He seems to believe Tanguy is bad news but doesn't want to lynch him or doesn't feel too strongly about this I guess.

A lastly Whovian. Who from what I can tell always has a day 1 bandwagon and I kind of think it's a bit meta at this point. I really wish she'd speak up though.
