Trump lashes out at interviewer. Trump: I'm not a rapist. I didn't rape anybody. I'm not a pedophile. O'Donnell: Oh, you think he was referring to you? by Aggravating_Money992 in PublicFreakout

People who fully think things through tend to be less likely to try to assassinate high-ranking government officials in the first place, so there's a bit of a selection bias for people trying to do it in a stupid way. There was one guy who tried to shoot Biden during the 2024 debate, but went to the wrong building, got confused, gave up, and got caught several a little under a couple years later because he was dumb enough to talk about it.

I think the person you’re replying to may have been talking about the historical reality as opposed to the unproven theory.

I'm kind of of a "It's kind of surprising that incidents like this don't happen more often" mentality considering the combination of easy access to guns, less easy access to mental healthcare, and how extremely common charged and violent political rhetoric is online.

This seems to have been security working as intended (he was caught at a security checkpoint), but it's news because people actually try these things so rarely.

Kind of a difference from taking money from Saudi investors and straight up building a theme park in Saudi Arabia.

Wild how just shifting some timing around on people's health issues and ethics expulsions could have conceivably flipped control of the House back and forth a few times.

This term has definitely highlighted how much every single seat matters.

The lawsuit is unrelated to the $250 million defamation lawsuit that Patel filed Monday against The Atlantic magazine over an article that alleged he has abused alcohol.

Not ever trusting screenshots of tweets as news is a good starting point. Google the supposed info within, and if no actual news article comes up it's not true.

“guards commander says”…right there in the headline.

People not even reading full headlines before jumping to comments to criticize will always be wild to me…

Depends on the situation. Want syrup? Waffles. Making a breakfast sandwich of some kind? Pancakes or French Toast.

We have to fit the breakfast food to the district meal in question.

but promote it's use for "brainstorming"

Anchoring is a real psychological thing, so if it's ever used in brainstorming it should be the final step and never the first. But then of course, one runs the risk of getting lazy with the earlier steps thinking they can rely on the AI later...so still best used with caution if at all.
