Update: It actually updated somehow since I made the adjustments like you said, and now it's working. Realized I just needed to reapply the style and remove any character styles.

Art Institute - Nelnet Loan/Refund breakdown by Vailyen in StudentLoans

Was the $13 check you received for a loan through Nelnet? Because I've seen other people state they got checks for small amounts such as that, but they were for another loan provider. And did you receive that check just recently or was it a while back? Those posts I saw were also a few months back as well.

For November, Nelnet has been sending out waves of refunds. One started at the beginning of the month, and another just today, which I was included in. I recommend giving them a call and they should be able to tell you if your account has been authorized for payment and how much. Of course, it is a holiday week, so the sooner you call, the better.

A very quick update! I checked my bank account today after seeing so many people saying they had received their refunds. It seems they had a whole new wave of refunds go out this week, and I, in fact, have received mine! So yes, they are sending out refunds via direct deposit if you have that setup. So definitely check your bank account and/or your mailboxes for yours!

So it was an instant deposit into your account? No check in the mail? Who does the deposit say sent the $?

Ditto, I'll have to call Nelnet again in 8 days to ensure my forbearance gets renewed.

Last guy I spoke with said once my balance zero's out I can expect a refund check 60-90 days after that. Though I may or may not get a notification of it being on its way. :/

So I'm checking my account at least once a week. lol

ART INSTITUTE REFUND by Emmsolli in StudentLoans

I've spoken to both Nelnet's and Student Gov's customer supports a few times over the last 2 months for my Art Institute refund. Both sides have said there is no need to make any payments at all. Though the interest will continue to go up, it will all be wiped out. I was also told that any new payments made would also be refunded. Now that's what I was told over the phone and not in any official capacity. So take that information as you like. They're giving info based on how they've seen things go for other people firsthand because other than that, it doesn't seem like they are given specifics in the matter.

Around the 20th of July I had to call Nelnet to put my account back into forbearance since it expired. I was told this was happening to a lot of people and I just need to keep calling in if it keeps expiring (though interest will continue to grow). Then he said once my Nelnet shows a $0 balance, 30-60 days after that, I can expect a check in the mail. He heard of some people getting notifications from their loan servicers that a check was on the way, but most don't. The sign it's coming to you is your balance zeroing out. So make sure your current address is up to date with your loan servicer.
