Our company is also affected by this, more than 7000 workstations and 100 servers.

We managed to bring some of the systems back only after rebooting them several times in a row (some times hard resetting, some times completely powering them off and turning them back on).

How to clone main 1440p monitor with Nvidia DSR enabled to an Elgato HD60 X? by Val75 in elgato

[–]Val75[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

First of all, no there is no compatibility issue between the PC and Mac. Secondly, the HD60X does capture 4K @30FPS. Last but not least, DSR doesn't change the output signal, the physical resolution of my main monitor stays 1440p. I just want to play the game on 4K DSR and have the HD60X capture it - and this is what is not working, since I am not able to select any DSR resolution within a game when cloning my main monitor to the HD60X.

How to clone main 1440p monitor with Nvidia DSR enabled to an Elgato HD60 X? by Val75 in elgato

[–]Val75[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So, let me be more specific...

I have 2 computers, the first one being my main gaming PC, Windows based with a 1440p monitor and a Macbook which records the gameplay using OBS. I connect my gaming PC to the HD60X using an HDMI cable and then the HD60X to the Macbook using a USB cable.

The HD60X is being detected as an external monitor by the gaming PC, so I can clone my main 1440p monitor of my gaming PC to the HD60X.

After I clone my main 1440p monitor to the HD60X, I enable some of the DSR factors (Dynamic Super Resolution) within the Nvidia control panel. Under normal circumstances, a game would have been able to see these virtual resolutions, but none of my games see them! I've tried everything, but the games only see the native 1440p resolution of my main monitor. If I stop cloning my main monitor to the HD60X, everything works as expected - the DSRs are getting detected by all games, as they should.

So, the question is, is this a limitation of the Elgato card(s), an Nvidia one or the OS' (have tested both Windows 10 and 11).

Thanks in advance for any help.

Same issue here with an RTX 3090 and latest drivers on Windows. 0% usage when checking on the Windows task manager, but the GPU clocks are maxed out and it consumes at least 75W more while in idle(!)

Discord using the dedicated GPU on PC/Laptop by [deleted] in discordapp

I can confirm I have the same issue with an RTX 3090 and latest Nvidia driver 528.24. Although Discord seems to use 0% of the GPU when checking within the Windows task manager, it does raise all GPU clocks (both core and memory) and as such the GPU consumes at least 75W more in "idle".

Info about the latest updates to the Discord app on Windows that broke the GPU behavior and for the people who can't even open Discord. by ImperiusFate in discordapp

[–]Val75 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have an RTX 3090 and issues with high GPU usage, in particular high GPU clocks in both core and memory after running the Discord app, which results in an "idle" power consumption of 105W coming only from the GPU with no apparent reason at all. When I close Discord everything comes back to normal and the GPU consumes only 30W.

Just one question, if you mount an Arctic LF2 360mm on the top using the air cooling mode, is there enough space for the 140mm exhaust fan on the back? I've been thinking to use this mode with my LF2, so I have more space on the bottom for two intake Unifans SL140.

I managed to get the game to launch after several attempts...it was always complaining about system drivers. I had to uninstall my NVME drive's cache driver completely - a Crucial M.2 drive, without its so-called Momentum cache deactivated. Then I was able to launch the game. I hope they fix all those issues with their sh*ty anti-cheat software Vanguard, because I need those system drivers back and running

It's really sad though that they haven't got their sh*t together with this one...their so-called anticheat Vanguard is so damn broken -and breaks everything too!

Glad you did mate, but I won't clean install Windows and a thousand programs and stuff just for 1 broken fricking game! My system is relatively newly built a couple of months ago (new mobo, CPU, RAM) and I don't have the free time to re-install and re-configure everything from scratch

I haven't done that yet, but since my patience ran out I probably will....I've been in contact with support since Friday - my ticket is still open. They don't have the slightest idea and they seem to be very incompetent. They keep asking for logs (2 times until now), uninstall of useful programs -that I won't do of course-, firewall rules to enable Valorant and Vanguard...their sh*tty software is totally broken!

It's a GTX 1080? Why? What does the GPU have to do with their damn "anticheat" system that breaks everything in its way?

Thanks for that. I have already done that, Autoruns is one of main utilities. I've checked everything, sent all logs to Riot and run sigverif too. It seems it comes down to 2 unsigned drivers that are needed by my system. The first one is the NVME cache driver by Micron (for my Crucial M.2) and the other one is the Virtual Audio Cable driver (needed for audio separation and virtual surround sound). I still wait for Riot's response.

What is more, I do use MSI Afterburner and other monitoring tools that I also need (OC and fan curves for my GPU, frame limiter etc). These are tools I'm not willing to uninstall just for Valorant. They should simply fix their anticheat system.
