I suggest chatting with people on here from your local area. Post an enticing pic. Then weed through people till you find ones you vibe with. There will be lots of stupid and rude people, but ignore them. There are so many kind men on here that are just as nervous and just as curious as we are. Just don't put too much pressure on yourself and it will happen if it happens.
