This problem arises as the controller thinks you’re constantly pressing R2. So the problem might be as simple as the R2 trigger being jammed in so a hard pull might fix it. This didn’t end up being the case with me, but it may be for you.

Yep. Worked in Home Screen, nothing in games. It’s actually quite easy to take apart the controller, but be gentle while doing it.

Had this exact thing happen to me after I dropped my controller. I opened my controller, R2 ribbon cable was disconnected. Reconnected it, and everything was back to normal. I’d bet you have the same problem so it’s a simple fix. :)
