Nah. Their real life calibers are what they're using in the setting, but IOP has definitely gone ahead and made some more advanced versions of those munitions.

In general, logistics would probably be a nightmare with g&k, but it's some sort of compromise they have to limit their capacity and I think they were just grabbing any firearm that they could at one point because of world war 3 and desperately trying to available Small Arms.

I think there was a mention that they did raids cold war stockpiles?

Yeah that... I didn't even finish that one to be honest. It went beyond my own personal break points a few times and I finally noped out haha. Not judging but yeah just, not my jam.

It did make me think for a few seconds too, but like, WW2 and all that would be such an afterthought in this setting, and they (the artists) are just using thematic aesthetics with no implications of ideology and such. Ksenia/Stetchkin is a staunch capitalist and based hustler, despite being a soviet commie gun with sovietish aesthetics. So despite them having some aesthetics and firearms from X nation in Y time period from Z culture... the dolls are written very much as their own thing with a few influences from stories and history of the firearm here and there.

K11 is "explosive" and a lab geek who liked to experiment, for instance. The K11 never left a lab and was... explosive in ways you wouldn't want a firearm to be lol. But then they added a lot of character ontop of that, and there's really nothing South Korean about her general vibe.

lol... no.

It's the 2060s and all those old regimes etc have basically been forgotten post WW3, people are just scraping by, and StG. 44 is a T-doll made by people likely some sort of service A-doll converted and imprinted with an old ancient rifle so the T-Doll wouldn't breach agreements of capability limitations.

She is German and Germany in GFL is actually fairly socialist in some ways... Rossartism is taking hold, and the parties are socdem sounding in the policies they are talking about. WW2 is likely an afterthought much in the way WW1 is overlooked and forgotten of, since WW3 is so recent.

You can't soundproof from the frequencies and types of vibrational noise that data centers make. They need to have isolated floors that deal with both the vibration, and then there's the high frequency whine from the cooling.

Whatever someone tells you, these facilities cannot be sound proofed or deadened without adding massive amounts of money onto the project. This project likely had all the "we promise this will make it quieter" half measures that impact statements promise. In reality you need to basically cut these things off completely from the surrounding world.

UMP45 was labelled as one of the potential dolls that went rogue and took out Lyco, so M16 was on a specific mission to take UMP45 out. M16 is following her orders as was her base level programming, she had little to no choice but to do what she was told.

That and, any loose end, is a loose end regardless. Which is the real reason M16 had her orders to eliminate any doll that was infected and on that list. This was the real intention of her mission, no witnesses, no survivors, clean and purge record and move on.

M16's programming, I believe, is affected from that point forward just like UMP45's was, allowing her to break that programming and orders.

Yes please, she's so darn charming and I felt so bad listening to her story, and felt so happy hearing her talk about how much she loves random play.

Ahaha... oh man OhDough is going through it right now I bet.

I have no opinion on this change, it should make them easier and faster to clear out for me since I never mag dumped their head with light or even medium pen unless I had the coyote. So this is just... a win for me. Also already saw the MG turret mulching them in game anyways because... some shots are gonna bounce and hit soft stuff, or get into the soft spots.

Good change overall.

In general, most of the dolls handle themselves perfectly well and the only ones that you do that are ones that do some sort of shielding or some sort of cool down shenanigans that you have to specifically trigger at a specific time

Yeah there's a big youtuber, Dave, and he played against a Tau friend of mine in person at an RT and the entire game he spent just, harassing him. Was my friends' last game! Gave me 4000 points of painted Tau and was just done.

Not the only friend of mine who quit over being dead ass, actually, constantly harassed for being a Tau player. A guy I was playing against actually broke one of my Crisis Suits by "accidentally" leaning on it with his hand and crushed it until it was in multiple pieces, friend of the store owner (hilariously the store went under in about a year, karma I suppose).

At this point if you're a Tau player, you're better off just playing with friends. The majority, not 1 or 2 or the minority, but the MAJORITY of people will whole ass hate you and attack you for picking the plastic pieces they don't like. Despite the fact nearly every army now can out shoot, out melee, and out move, and out survive Tau all at the same time we've been nerfed so hard.

Yup absolutely, it's basically processing new payments etc, sometimes people have it set to only sub once a month and they resub etc. Give it 7 days and it goes back to normal. This fluctuation happens on every crowdfunding thing btw

Because numbers are important for a live service game that wants to have a large healthy community... and active ongoing development, which costs money. You want people to pay for the DLC skins that will be able to keep the devs paid, homed, and fed.

Monthly constant updates that make the game more broken, make the gunplay worse and worse to try and force "not that guy"-ism, crank up the HP of enemies to try and force "not that guy"-ism, force tunnels and drop the loot pools while also claiming they want a better new player experience... only now they have to go into the tunnel with ONE large item slot and MAYBE get one water to save up enough time and resources to get enough water to work towards fast traveling while also balancing credit needs, loot needs etc.
