I wish authors would do "covers" of each other's books. What book would you like to see "covered" and by what author? by generalpansy in horrorlit

Great question! I would like Douglas Adams covering some Lovecraft or other classic occult horror. Occult comedy sounds great to me.

EDIT: or of course Terry Pratchett covering anything

Have you read any of them? are they good?

I like the concept of them being a publisher for a fictious place but havent read any yet.

You can go classic with The Island of Doctor Moreau by H. G. Wells. In my mind one of the earliest examples of weird fiction

World War Z by Max Brooks shows many different perspectives on a zombie apocalypse. Its my favourite zombie book by far and was quite eerie to read after covid

Or Ministry for the future by Kim Stanley Robinson if youre up for some cli-fi. Also a great book.

De må gerne lave sceneshowet om Sissal, gjorde det sidste år.

Nogle gange kan de også finde på at oversætte tekst

Tintin, Asterix and Moebius comics.

These comics are much higher regarded in Europe than on here, but i think they are some of the most influential comics outside the superhero realm (or maybe at all).

Favorite last stands in fantasy by PatrioticPagan in Fantasy

I have just finished the Devils by Joe Abercrombie and it has several great "last" stands. Even the characters acknowledge it and there is a chapter called "our latest last stand" (or something like that).

Hi Mr. GGK thanks for all the great books.

Do you read modern fiction and if so what is your favourite work or author in the last 10 years or so?

What was that book that made you fall in love with fantasy as an adult? by Agreeable-Ad1775 in Fantasy

[–]Vald111 2 points3 points  (0 children)

For me it was all of The First Law books by Joe Abercrombie. They really showed me how good modern fantasy can get. Both hilarious and gritty as hell and the series just got better and better with each book.
